You're probably right, and I don't think they will do a Best director campaign since Woody is against the Oscars/awards in general.

I don't think the movie will actually win, but I do hope it will get nominated. At least for Best picture!

Yes nomination is very realistic for the GGs. Oscars is more iffy especially since they are shortening the list this year (not 10 movies like last year).

What I heard was that they are not committed to picking 10 movies - they might pick 5, 7, 10 - who knows? But they aren't forcing 10 movies like the previous 2 years.

MiP got nominated for the Independent Spirit Awards for best cinematography and supporting male actor for Corey Stoll.

I think Stoll did a good job so I like that he is being nominated! He was great in the 'past' scenes and I think Michael Sheen was a real scene stealer in the present scenes.

Let's hope this nomination is one of many!

I just checked the award ceremony dates. Michael definitely won't be at the Golden Globes - they're on 15 January and Hamlet doesn't finish until 21 January. I hope Rachel attends - MiP will surely be up for Best Comedy or Musical and she might even present with Channing Tatum to promote The Vow?

I'd love if they walked the red carpet at the Oscars together! They're on 26 February so Rachel should be finished promo for The Vow by then.
