Not everyone sees/saw that chemistry between them. I surely didn’t. Plus, a couple being together a long time doesnt = true love, in fact, its nice to see that sometimes it doesn’t always work out the way you would think it would.

That's very possible. I must admit I wasn't very invested in Shawn/Angela but I can't help but feel the writers did a disservice to them but writing things the way they had in this episode.

Angela was definitely someone that needed closure. But the way Shawn was telling about his feelings for Angela, it's like they were rewriting history.

Yeahhhh it just doesn't make sense that Shawn "never loved" Angela...yes he did. The writers did that to try and prove Katy/Shawn - and they really didn't have to do that. I don't have a problem with them, but they didn't have to ruin Shawn/Angela in the process to justify their story. That's what it seems like to me. I don't give the GMW writers props for being realistic at all. If that was the case, MJ would've done a better job with his original character. Like for instance, Disney is not an excuse anyone can make for Shawn/Katy not having build-up. Definitely not enough build-up to have them get engaged...I mean correct me if I'm wrong, but wasn't that the same time we saw them kiss? It would be pretty realistic to kiss the person BEFORE you end up proposing to them All things considered, they didn't handle this well. They didn't have this planned. If they did, it would've occurred a lot more organically than just out of nowhere like it did. And yeah, still bitter about Shawn/Angela - but more than that I am just bitter that they had to make Shawn get married to someone he barely knows. It doesn't make sense, it's not realistic, and they better not make it dumb to where he's never around after he's married to Katy. That's going to make absolute 0 sense if they do that.

I just can't believe they went there tbh. The writers of GMW have to know that the audience watching is filled with people who watched BMW when it first aired on ABC. We remember the storylines. That's why they don't need so many flashbacks (they are nice though lol). Katy and Shawn don't need to be propped up by rewritten history, they're just fine on their own. It makes Shawn look bad saying he never really loved Angela.
