I also think that there is apart of Mer that is resentful of/threatened by Jo because Alex is one of her last people remaining, and that is why she has been so OTT and OOC rude to her. At least that's what I hope.

I'm irked that they were both only in one scene last night, wtf? Why couldn't they have been in the audience of Amelia's presentation at least? I guess Justin and Ellen enjoyed some time off with their families.

I can deal with it for one episode, but I really hope they give Alex something soon, he has had no storyline this season.

I hope Alex will get a SL soon because as an Alex fan this is frustrating. I had high hopes that this season Alex will get more focus on the show as Mer's person - as it was the case with Cristina.
There is indeed some time left to develop a SL for him by the end of the season. One explanation would be if they planned something for him in the series finale and it would make sense for the SL to start later in the season. And of course we would be spoiled if we would have too much Alex in the show

lol, I watch all of the last episode thinking it was the one with the hug.....wasted 45 minutes of my life.

I finally went and watched the one before and was much happier.

that hug was perfect. I don't like Mer's attitude this season, but you have to feel sorry for her at some points, like in that episode. She is in limbo with her marriage and it isn't pretty. I'm glad that Alex comforted her, you could see he is worried about her when he looked at her.
