I feel so bad for him!Wondering if that random hook-up is a Lana/Kalinda effect and if we'll get some talk between him and Kalinda, something which could explain it...nor that he's not free to do it but it doesn't seem something Cary would do wihout a reason. Unless he's completely freaking out because that drug charge and it would be also pretty understandable.

I think it is a combination of everything right now. Kalinda, his legal problem and stuff at the work. Should make for a good storyline.

I started watching sure I was going to hate this clip (based on your comments about the random hook-up), but then it all went better thanks to Joy (Linda Lavin): I really love this character, the actress and her scenes with Cary.

***** keeps happening to Cary: "can someone give me a break?" (episode 1).

I'm disappointed as you that their way of thinking is still "let's complicate relationships because happy relationships aren't interesting" (the writers actually said this) and they don't want to explore the good in the Cary/Kalinda relationship.
But I choose to focus on the good side, Joy and the fact that his plotline is moving forward.

Oh well.

(and now for a funny, trivial remark: this show is great at continuity with the little details! Remember when Matan told Dana that Cary had "a thing for ethnic women"? He has! The girl in "Hi", Kalinda, Dana, the girl at the beginning of s. 3 (sorry I don't remember the name!), and now this girl... only exception that girl in "Boom")

Hmmm, I don't think I am going to watch yet then. I want to be in a positive mindset watching the MSU/UofM game today.

I am looking forward to Joy being back. Not so much for the random hook-up, but at least maybe it will lead to some progress or at least a confrontation (maybe? IDK) in the long-run. One can hope.

yes his hook-up definitely fits into that group I saw some pics on google where she could pass as being related to Archie

So that’s what we’re heading to in these next few episodes? A breakdown? Episodes 8, 9, and 10, he’s in a new place heightened from building and building and building and then he breaks. Everything really has built up to a point where maybe he can’t handle it all.
