It's like...obviously child actors are needed at times and yet part of me thinks it's so toxic it probably shouldn't be allowed, lol. Their brains are not nearly developed enough to make this decision for themselves.

I feel like the adult ACTORS in control have to lay down the law to have any hope, like Kyle and Connie on FNL.

They should, but that doesn't always happen

And in teen shows, they don't always have that level of power. There's this idea that the parents can always be killed off, Dawson's father style (before Dawson, it was Dylan on 90210).
