They really could have

Cristofle 10-06-2022 05:26 PM

Did they ever have a meaningful role for a black actor? I can't think of one in the first three seasons. Really? These kids don't know any black people?

stlavin95 10-07-2022 02:41 AM

Definitely can't think of one

Cristofle 10-07-2022 06:44 PM

What was UP with that? That was bad even by that period's standards. Even OTH had Skillz, lol. Which wasn't impressive that it was just him, but the OC had...no one.

stlavin95 10-07-2022 07:09 PM

No idea

OTH had Fergie too, even though he didn't get the screen time of Skills.

Cristofle 10-08-2022 04:32 PM

Oh yeah, we didn't even have a Fergie in The OC! That is so bad. I think any black person was lucky to get a spare line and I don't really think THAT happened all that often.

stlavin95 10-09-2022 02:55 AM

No it didn't

Cristofle 10-10-2022 02:59 PM

I think there were black guys in the pilot. In the jail. ://////

stlavin95 10-11-2022 02:16 AM

Sounds about right sadly

Cristofle 10-11-2022 05:22 PM

90210 did better than that, lol. And that show was HELLA white.

stlavin95 10-12-2022 02:43 AM

Lol, how sad

Cristofle 10-12-2022 05:29 PM

The OC is SUCH a white teen show, and it's set in California! No, not the most racially diverse part, but STILL.

stlavin95 10-13-2022 02:38 AM

Definitely should have done better.

Cristofle 10-13-2022 05:00 PM

You'd think this show was set in Iowa for all the racial diversity it had.

stlavin95 10-14-2022 12:54 AM

Which is just sad
