You'd think they were God. It's just very frustrating because they stop listening to people.

stlavin95 09-26-2022 01:32 AM

And the show is worse off because of it

Cristofle 09-27-2022 04:00 PM

Always, if the writing can't even be collaborative in the writers' room.

stlavin95 09-28-2022 03:12 AM

Even if the showrunner is actually a good writer

Cristofle 09-28-2022 04:27 PM

Basically no one can have solo control over every episode and have that work. No one person completely understands every person's/character's perspective.

stlavin95 09-29-2022 02:42 AM

Definitely

Cristofle 09-30-2022 06:11 PM

And a good show has a wide variety of characters and perspectives.

stlavin95 10-01-2022 02:22 PM

Yes it does

Cristofle 10-01-2022 06:02 PM

I always loved Park and Rec because the characters were so unique in their own ways.

stlavin95 10-01-2022 10:41 PM

Which is rare to see

Cristofle 10-02-2022 04:19 PM

Also, for all the crap excuses we've gotten from shows over the years why it was fine their show wasn't diverse, Indiana is a very white state but Parks and Rec had a diverse cast that worked together SO well.

stlavin95 10-02-2022 07:31 PM

It really did

Cristofle 10-04-2022 05:30 PM

The OC was white as ****, though. LOL.

stlavin95 10-05-2022 02:32 AM

Agreed, lol

Cristofle 10-05-2022 06:34 PM

And this was California. Not the most diverse part, but they could’ve done better than making poor Theresa the token Latina.
