I will gladly share the poems. I did it on MEIN years ago and a fellow boardie and I became friends, She actually published a book of them (sort of like a Readers Digest) version. It only had 50. I have more than 50. I did have 5 notebooks full and lost them in a fire in '08. What kind are you interested in?


Side note...the boardie that I became friends with was also named Karen.

The Eyes

The eyes
They are the windows of the soul
They tell us
Things we need to know
They express our feelings
Feelings of joy, sorrow and rage
They seem to tell a story
Turn another page
Like words on a page
That pass by

Sorry about the double posting...I keep forgetting to edit.

There are different types that I will share. I have even written for others upon request. I guess this is okay even thought they aren't KC inspired?

It has been suggested to me, on more than one occasion, that I should try song writing because of the way I write. I know nothing about putting together a song, just how to write a poem. I taught myself at a young age because songs made sense to me and this was the only way I knew how to express myself.

Dreamer

Where am I

When Karen, from MEIN and not our sweet Karen, published the book she asked me what I wanted to name it. The answer was quite simple - Pretty Words. She had given me the discs in order to publish more, but I lost them in the fire.

The first two in this thread were inspired by Kelly Clarkson. I have listened to Tightrope for months on end because I knew that there was a subliminal message that I wasn't connecting to. While watering the garden I kept playing the song in my head (getting it out may be a problem LOL) and finally got the message. This one was just written and it is Kelly Clarkson inspired.


Tightrope

I'm bending

This is one that goes back 31 years. I was 17 when I wrote it.

That (Lost Love) was written for my high school sweetheart...of course that was before I realized that I'm a lesbian.

Okay, now I see my mistake. Thank you. I will edit from now on. I think the poetry will take a somewhat different turn now. I do know that there is one that I wrote just to shock people because they thought they had me pegged. It worked.

There has only been 3 that were inspired by her...Piece By Piece, I Dare You, and Tightrope. I may have been mistaken, but I thought you were asking if I would share all of them. I still listen to the music and try to get inspired to write something. If I have messed up please delete all of the others.


I just got through with a new one that is Kelly inspired.
