Ribena is apparently only found in the UK it's a Blackcurrant drink that you add water to. I drink about 6 - 8 glasses of it a day .

If you need help with anything specific on Dreamweaver, let me know and I can help you out I did a module on it in my first year at Uni.

I'm going out to dinner with my best friend and his boyfriend today I'm scared... I've never met him before and it'll be all awkward and I'll be all third wheel-y.

No, of course not. If you can think of a way to explain so that the person understands, that's terrific.

Tina - I've tried a few different teas, but don't really care for the flavoured ones except blackcurrent.
Jessie, the closest way I can think of to describe blackcurrent flavour is a cross between blueberry & cranberry. I've never had them on their own, but jam is nice. hmm ... Wikipedia
Quote:
During World War II most fruits rich in vitamin C, such as oranges, became almost impossible to obtain in the United Kingdom. Since blackcurrant berries are a rich source of vitamin C and blackcurrant plants are suitable for growing in the UK climate, blackcurrant cultivation was encouraged by the British government. Soon, the yield of the nation's crop increased significantly. From 1942 on almost the entire British blackcurrant crop was made into blackcurrant syrup (or cordial) and distributed to the nation's children free, giving rise to the lasting popularity of blackcurrant flavourings in Britain.

Blackcurrants were once popular in the United States as well, but they became extremely rare in the 20th century after currant farming was banned in the early 1900s. The ban was enacted when it was discovered that blackcurrants helped to spread the tree disease White Pine Blister Rust, which was thought to threaten the then-booming U.S. lumber industry [1].

Never heard of squash as a drink or Ribena

Roz - I drink tea through the day, but I need coffee to get me going in the morning.

Yeah, Jen, yesterday was not good. Today was even worse without the tea and having to deal with kids that stayed inside all day because of a fire.

I'm so not amused.

Jessie: Ooh. Cool! You must love tea!
I just had a rough morning yesterday because of my co-workers. They were kind of tug-a-waring on me wanting me to help 'em to stuff.

Chris: Oh, cool. Not even cold tea? Just hot tea?

ooh blackurrent sounds so good! Where can I find me a drink with that flavor without traveling to the UK

That is very interesting about the history, thank you for posting that! So, does that mean that in the UK, there is have something to counter-act the white pine blister rust? Or have all the pines developed an imunity?

[tina]
Yep! Love tea, have it lying around the house everywhere its is a bit ridiculus

Where do you work?

Jessie - I just found the history interesting, so copied it, but don't know anymore than that. I don't know about cold drinks, but this is the tea I like:

Roz - are the fires close to you?

Usually hot tea, ice tea rarely in the summer.

Aww Roz

I'm a HUGE tea lover. I drink at least 5 or 6 cups a day, if not a lot more. There are days where I don't drink anything but tea
