What's a mouse?

Since getting my iMac I've made the switch to a touchpad, so much better!

Really? I'm slowly getting used to using the mousepad on my netbook, but I much prefer to have a mouse and have one to plug in if convenient.

I prefer it too, I have mine plugged in, I just find it so much easier and more comfortable.

The Apple Touch Pad is much bigger, about the size of a DVD, remember those

Its wireless BT so I can place it anywhere on my desk and with the different gestures you can do a lot with it that a mouse can't do.

I guess the point is if you go from laptops to tablets and desktop it's like learning one control method.

I suppose part of it is getting used to something different.

Must be nice

I go between my mouse and bamboo tablet pen. Both of which seem to cause google chrome to zoom uncontrollably just wish I could figure out why.

I used to use the Apple Magic Mouse until I got this new iMac. Its a good mouse even though some don't like it. But my problem was the touch surface was too sensitive at time. scrolling uncontrollably.

Apple is yet to give any of it's computer touch screen, which I don't mind as most of the time the screen is just out of reach anyway and who wants to clean up the finger prints all day?

What I do wish they (and others) would do is gesture controls like on the xBox.

Got a used CPU yesterday from my neighbor. Hooked it up to the monitor, etc. Seems to work just fine. But I can't get to the start menu at the bottom of the screen, and the icons just sorta run off the bottom of the screen. So I'm thinking this is a resolution problem.

Have tried getting into the display panel and restoring the settings and so forth. No joy. And it's kinda difficult to dig around further than that since I can't bring up the start menu.

My computer knowledge is okay but it's pretty basic, so I can't come up with a clever solution. And I'm sure there's an easy answer to this but I can't think at the moment. Advice greatly appreciated!
