Spoiler:

Now hopefully I can have a good day, without thinking too much about this.

Sparkling water is kind of weird to me. If something is carbonated, I assume its supposed to also be sweet. One time, on a hot day in Venice, Italy, I was dying for a cold refreshing sparkling water and when I got to the hotel, I took a swig and it was carbonated tonic water! EWWW!

I prefer tap too which is my go to drink if I'm eating at a foreign country. Or bottled water just to be safe.

I like red wine, especially after a meal. During my last dinner with friends, we ordered 4 bottles of red wine. I had about 6 glasses and was still okay.

Leanne, you can try white wine as they are not that strong as red. You can try the white wines from Yellow Tail. Sorry about work. I hope it's much better for you tomorrow.

Leanne, I hope work gets better. Sorry that happened!

Lindsay, I agree that white wine is a little easier to drink-especially if you aren't used to the taste yet. I love that y'all ordered 4 bottles. How many people were with you?

To a point, yes. With fish I prefer white, with beef I'd go for red, but otherwise I'm flexible. How about you?

Leanne - that must have been frustrating, but I can see that the boss would need to be sure to touch base with everybody. try not to take it personally.

Lindsay - enjoy your vacation!

Thanks, Its something I have to work on not to take things personally at work, but its hard cause its the one thing I think I enjoy and do good at at life so I don't like people thinking I'm slacking! But it gets that way because I had a legitimate bully boss who micromanaged me and truly was a bully, and after an HR meeting she made me go to, my union rep actually apologized to me about the whole ordeal I had to go through for what it was! But still, it was horrible and now I have extra stress at any sign of discontent.

But today I walked in my other location and went "Yay!" cause some laminated covers came for the new picture books and my fave thing to do is trim it, tape it on the books and then get to display brand new colorful books, its satisfying and fun!

Yeah, it sounds like white wine would be a better option! I liked that website how it described the taste notes for each wine and what it could be paired with! Thanks for the link!!

Lindsay is on a vacation?? Enjoy that!!!

Lindsay, enjoy your time away this weekend. We look forward to hearing about your trip when you get back!

Leanne, bully bosses and people who micromanage you is always a tough situation.

Chris, I do to an extent. Naturally, some food just pairs with red better and some with white better.

exactly.

Leanne - it's probably best to try white wine first. Reds are more full bodied and can be an acquired taste.

Anybody have plans for the weekend? Not much going on here.

I have a big project I'm working on this weekend for one of my graduate courses. It is due by Tuesday at midnight so I have a few days to work on it. But I do hope to get the majority of the assignment done today and tomorrow.

Good luck Cece!

Rainy day here. I think I'll pull the turkey broth out of the freezer and make soup for supper.

Thanks Chris!

We also got some showers here last night and in the early morning. It was so hot yesterday so I'm glad the rain brought the temperature down a bit today.

Good luck, Cece! I'm sure your project will be great!

Soup sounds awesome! I actually eat it year round.

Love the rain! (I live in the right place for it! )

Yum, Chris, you will make my mouth water thinking of turkey soup on a rainy day. I also could eat soup almost all the time. I may even have vegetable barley soup for lunch with crackers (and fight my cat for the crackers, he's obsessed with saltine cracker crumbs, )

Tonight is family dinner. My newly engaged sister is returning from her England, Germany, Holland trip to pick up her cat and we're having roast beef with with Yorkshire pudding (again?) and our own little homemade pies for dessert . I can't wait to hear about her trip, wish I could have gone.. but I will by the way end of the year!

Soup is good. Especially when it's home made. And even when I accidentally put some cinnamon in it. Managed to scoop most of it out, and I might actually try doing that again.

Have fun catching up with your sis.

That's awesome that accidentally adding the cinnamon ended up being an addition you may want to try again, Chris.

I'm relaxing right now-watching Food Network.

Leanne, have fun catching up with your sister. It's wonderful you have several months to look forward to your trip.
