^ Yeah that's her official line but to my knowledge she hasn't posted about what those projects might be and there's nothing on IMDB regarding what they might be. I kinda assumed she left Degrassi to free herself up to do film projects.

I wish she had stayed though.

I guess the writers are leaving the door open in case Alex ever wants to return. At least that's the rumor around tumblr. I believe it though.

Well, moving away does likely offer more opportunity to return than driving into a tree does.

I wish Tori were still around. The best part about season 12 was the dynamic between the niners and Cam. With Cam dead, and Tori gone, and Zig being MIA for the summer stretch, everything feels so disjointed. I know that friends grow apart and people move away, but Degrassi had something really special with those 5. They were the glue holding Degrassi together. They were its future. I was so looking forward to big things for Tori! I really wanted the show to flesh out her character so we could get to know her. I wanted to see how she and Maya would repair their friendship. It really sucks that Alex had to leave.

Yeah, I'm disappointed to see her gone too. There was a lot of stuff for them to tap into with her and the rest of the Grade 9 crew. Oh and I really do think she would have gotten a major plot during the early stretch of this season if she had stayed. Maybe during this idiotic Paris thing, but in the early fall episodes. We'll never know for sure, though.

I used to hate her in 11.5, but she really grew on me by showdown. They threw her potential away. She was always someone's sidekick.

As I mentioned above, I really do think they would have given Tori a major plot early in this season. But, yeah, it's too bad that she didn't get better developed over her time on the show.

One thing that's also become very clear this season- Tori/Maya/Tristan is so much better than Maya/Tristan.

They should totally **** with people and have her come back as Angie.

And then have her leave again, only to be replaced by yet another character.

I always thought Degrassi should cover that topic. It'll be interesting to see her in that kind of role.
