no one likes JLP ahw man.
i really really miss season 1, seeing Manny, Emma, JT and Toby friendship -- coming together and growing so perfect. i loved Jimmy and his poof hair -- and how Spinner was .. chunky and had bad hair -- it was very comedic. __________________

JLP is totally on my list of top episodes of all time! And it won the 2nd round of favorite episodes at degrassifans.com while up against episodes like MACR, WDC, Shout, and GJWHF. I personally voted for WDC...

Words can't even express how much I love JLP. Ashley on E, Spinner with a watermelon, the whole cohesive nature of the episode with storylines intertwining & serious character/plot development. Just

Jimmy: You need to drink water. Lots of it.
Ashley: I'm going upstairs to the bathroom. I'll drink some water...in front of the toilet! One of the most memorable lines, at least for me. __________________

Snake. He lost that battle a long time ago. Not that he's the only one.

I liked Season 1. I remember that's when my otp Semma got together. No one else was dating except for Jimash.

Yeah, they were all such babies then. I think, besides Sean/Emma and Jimmy/Ashley, the only attempted romantic plots were when Paige sabotaged Terri in her quest to get with Spin and poor Toby's long crush on the oblivious Emma.

Paige never really got any karma in the earlier seasons for what she did. I really liked the Idea of Terri and Spinner.

I wonder just how much of Paige not getting any karma (especially in regard to what happened with Terri) is because of the looks of the actors involved?
It's always a question that comes up with TV shows and movies. I'm not sure Terri's character ever recovered from that episode. __________________

More memories of watching early seasons with my bro:
We'd email each other back and forth pretending to be Emma and Jordan. Not pedo!Jordan...so no dirty emails. Just random one liners about the environment, Chicken Run, and if either one of us was up to eating pizza in the bathroom. I mean, I get why she carried the pizza with her; wasn't thinking, was freaked out...but hey, at least she has a snack for later. __________________

If he still watched the show, you and him could role play as Coach Creep and KC, e-mailing about basketball.
Moving on to the episode survivor for this season, one thing I couldn't help but notice was just how tough it was for me to pick an episode to vote for in the beginning. It's not that I thought this was the best season, but rather I'm not sure any of the episodes really stand out as clunkers (like a handful in pretty much every season that followed, and quite a bit more than a handful in Season 5-6). Ultimately, I came up with Coming of Age as my first vote. __________________

Yeah, I felt the same way about season 1. Was sad to see Parents' Day go out first! When it was eliminated I was on MSN with Callie and started quoting all these lines from it. "Yeah my assignment was late. Who’s to blame, video games! I’m telling you they’re destroying my generation! " "Holt Renfrew, on sale." "Looks like garbage to me. Smells like garbage." And don't forget the squeegee kids!
As for voting, I can guarantee you that if I were to rank a season's episodes in an individual post it would be much different than how I'm voting. __________________
