I don't think we can call them reunions anymore when some of them are this close. It is just a hang out.

Green, for St. Patrick's Day. A little early.

And this is a documentary directed by Andrea.

This is a nice interview/behind the scenes of her next project. I didn't know she was a director, or struggled with depression.

Trustworthy Magazine: You recently wrote and directed a film about mental illness and depression. Why was it important to you to focus on mental health ?

Andrea Lewis: I've had my own struggles with depression and mental illness and I'm very open about it and naturally as a filmmaker it's important for me to tell stories that represent my own experience. When it comes to short films my story telling tends to be a reflection of how I'm feeling, or a lesson I recently learned.

TM: Describe the process of writing and directing a movie about such important issue ?

AL:
Whether I'm telling a story about mental illness or a love story I treat them all with the same care. It's always about knowing who my story is for and usually my stories are written for someone directly in my life. Sometimes it's my friends or a family member or myself to be honest. The writing isn't about beating the message over someone's head, it's about simply sharing an experience in an authentic way and I like for the energy on my sets to be calm. I think actors give their best performances when they feel relaxed and free.

This was at a charity gala she went to last month in Malibu. I'm just posting it because I think she looks really good.

Sorry the double post, but I wanted to post this IG post of Andrea remembering the great Diahann Carroll, who passed away on Friday.

andrealewis- When I was 14 years old I had the opportunity to play “teenage Natalie Cole” in The Natalie Cole Story TV Movie and Diahann Carroll played my mother. THE Diahann Carroll! I was in disbelief! When I was 10 years old I saw her perform on stage in “Sunset Blvd” in what was one of the best performances of her career. And My grandma and mom talked about the beauty, grace, and star power of Diahann Carroll all of my life, so she has always been the example on how to make an impact in Hollywood as a woman of color. I’m so grateful that I got the chance to work with this legend and tell her what her career has done for black actresses like me. Forever grateful, Rest In Peace #ripdiahanncarroll

Degrassi | Insecurities, Regrets & What I Wish I Knew

Hey guys,
#SelfLoveSaturday - I get a lot of Degrassi questions and today I wanted to share a video conversation with one of my good friends, Christina Schmidt, who played "Terri" on Degrassi, with me and we discussed all of the good, bad and ugly of our experience while working on the show.

I should watch her youtube video posted above. I am curious about her viewpoint and experiences. I wonder if there's a part of me that doesn't want to hear the negative side to the show.

Their lives weren't this ideal??

I would have triple posted in the Paige/Hazel thread and maybe this is better suited here, especially since Andrea already used this promo image before and that's in there.

andrealewis

Been Having Tough Conversations and telling my friends to “speak up” since 2002! #degrassi #tbt

Who remembers this very serious and Important episode? @laurenfcollins did such an incredible job! I remember at the time thinking “damn, this is heavy!” only now as an adult, am I able to appreciate stories like this for teens on Television. *singing* “Whatever It Takes”

What was the name of the student who confronted Hazel about pretending to be Jamaican in Don't Believe the Hype? That was a classic case of a just needed for the plot and we'll never see you again character.

Anyway, her most recent IG post, which will hopefully stay up longer than some of her others.

Hey guys,
In this video I speak about some of the responses I've seen for my character Hazel from Degrassi in 2020. It's been a wild year!
