YES. That's what I've been trying to place. I was always thinking that she was an amazing actress because she portrays Adam amazingly, but there was always another reason that was there but I couldn't really place it. Thanks for posting that. I wholeheartedly agree.

The thing about Jordan is that I've always known who she is, but on Life With Derek she never really had anything to work with to show her real talent. She's obviously grown as an actor and a person, but I think that this was just the right role for her to show what she can really do. I just keep being more amazed by her and loving her more and more.

exactly. i expected adam to just look like normal jordan when he was in girls' clothes. but i really did get the sense of a boy pretending to be a girl...though it was played by a GIRL. i was blown away by how uncomfortable adam managed to look. and jordan is only fifteen or so, right (way to make us feel creepy)? knowing she's so young caused me to be even more blown away by her acting.

i have no idea why people persist in calling adam "she." even if it weren't rude, it would just seem plain WRONG to me. because jordan is so damn good, i hardly see a girl at all.

I expected Grelsea (I refuse on calling him full-on Gracie, since I liked Chelsea so much better, so I call him Grelsea) to look so much different. But the way he looked when in that persona - including clothes, makeup (or lack thereof), body language, and facial expressions - conveyed what I think was exactly what he was trying to say: That he didn't want to look that way, even if everyone else wanted him to, and therefore he tried somewhat to look like a girl but really didn't want to.

And when someone calls Adam a she, I always want to tell them how a) rude, b) offensive and c) incorrect it is. I'm not trans, but I have two very close people who are and it's like their pain is my pain, pretty much.
