Carol-Gypsy is doing fine. no issues at all and he officially can go back to his normal routine now. I'm just waiting for the vet to call me because I have to get his food sorted out now and the remaining bill I have to pay..He'll still be on his antibiotic for a few more days and of course it'll take him a few more weeks to heal and have his hair grow back they had to shave him a bit by his tail.

Hello friends

Have had a frustrating day....the nurse was 4 hours late and it really hurt when the staples were removed...more then last time...I even took plenty of pain med before hand. I am suppose to rest my leg for a two days.

Thanks Erin I am going to bed early my leg still hurts where the staples were. Am very sensitive!!! Know I will sleep well. Our son has slept better the past few nights sleeping on the couch while my husband sleep in my recliner chair. He sleeps almost all night until my husband gets up for work at 3:30 AM!!! Usually 6 hours of sleep!!! Longer then usual then goes to his room downstairs and goes back to sleep for 4-5 more hours.

Erin One of my cats (an outdoor one) got caught in the fan belt of Tommy's car several years ago. He lived thankfully, but had to have surgery and he lost a swatch of skin and fur from the fanbelt. For a while he had a bare patch of skin on his chest from the incident, but eventually all the fur grew back and you can't even tell now.

Karen I can't believe you had to wait 4 hours to have the staples removed That would be SOOOO frustrating. And I just cringe thinking about how it'd hurt to have staples removed Thankfully that part is over. I hope you heal fast from the knee replacement. I know it's a major surgery and will be a long process of recovery, but I pray it's as quick as possible.

It appears I've come down with a summer cold or bad allergies. Ugh. I go back to work next week, so I don't have time to be sick. I still need to finalize the course syllabi for my classes.

Carol-yeah I know it'll grow back, it did after Gypsy got hurt from being outside, we think another cat was fighting with him so he had a wound on him that hair grew back just fine so this will too. Once he got hurt I made the decision to have him strictly as an inside cat and I made the right decision because I think he would have died if he still had been an outside cat at this time. It wasn't that hard to train him to be a full inside cat either which makes me think he was an inside/outside cat with his previous owners or who ever he was living with before us.

Thanks Carol I am getting around well. Not needing a walker or cane. Just needed the walker the first few hours I got home from the hospital.

I am sorry you aren't feeling well. Yes, Allergies so far this year have been bad for people all over the world it seems.
