I've been talking loud through my mask to the children for a couple hours so it gets all hot in my mask.

I can't here cause they had a message saying that there is lead in our water at the school so we shouldn't drink it. Wish they had emailed earlier or I would have brought my own water bottle and food for lunch that doesn't require adding water!

Not wanting to be with people may or may not be linked your autism, Leanne. I didn't find it strange to talk to you, but then I know you very well, considering we only talk online! I'm definitely on the autistic spectrum, but most people don't notice. They just think I'm anti-social. I don't like large crowds, but groups of friends is okay most of the time!

Kia, it usually depends on the contract on how easy it is to remove someone. I was in a place of work where a lad who made his hair into horns was let go easily, but a more senior person (not very senior) but had been there a long time, was known to be lazy, and a bad worker, but couldn't be got rid off for some reason. She was also a bully, and tried to bully me at one point, until I shamed her into being nice to me. It was confusing that the same employer had both of those incidents, whilst I was there.

I have my bookkeeping exam tomorrow. And here I am up in the middle of the night...

All this time, and I didn’t realize you too, are on the spectrum, Claire I agree with you, I actually don’t mind hanging with a friend or two at a time. It’s just when it’s crowded and too many people. Claire, I remember how amazed we were at being in person, our brains kind of weren’t working for talking at first, you asked what I’d did and I totally drew a blank

I think in the U.S., teachers can reach a point where they get tenure which seems to mean they can’t be fired any longer. I don’t think they have teacher tenure in Canada.

Yeah I think with our school they are only really let go if they are really awful. A few years ago we had a TA that got many complaints, she was making inappropriate jokes with the older children and even some of the secondaries told me that she was very odd. She was let go shortly after. I think with her, as long as she is doing her job, our head won't like, fire her.

Claire - so I guess with her when they review her probation, something may be said, but SLT are aware.

I've worked with kids with ASD/ADHD and special needs for 6 years so nothing you say really surprises me Leanne, or can be ultimately linked as lots of people generally are introverts, socially awkward. I'm a painfully shy person, so my preferences for quiet time and only meeting friends if i feel comfortable is just a aspect of who I am.

I passed my exam! Such a relief to get it out of the way after so long. I finally have my qualification!

I do have some tendencies in that direction, Leanne. I think it is in a large degree as to why I'm socially awkward. My dad has it more than me but I think my son gets it from my side of the family.

Yes being done online I got the result about 10 mins after I'd finished the exam.
