I think Kate already made her choice when she left Jack at the temple and I believe Jack realized it too. I think Jack's feelings for Kate are being made clear this season for when he sacrifices himself in the finale because they have a lot of work to do if they want to stamp out the dislike in this fandom for the characters of Jack and Kate.
By this I mean, Kate has to make a choice and I think she already did in her own episode. And Sawyer needs time to get over his guilt and Juliet's death, then by the time that happens I am sure we'll see Skate again. I also as equally sure that Jate is over from Kate's side. Yeah, I said it, lol. I think any unresolved issues from them has to do with Jack because otherwise, why is Kate always choosing someone before Jack? Whether it's her promise to Sawyer, Aaron or Claire. |

It's for the best too because as far as I can tell, there is no story left to tell with Jack and Kate. They have done everything together before the show ended...mostly because they have never separated from one another. There is no excuse for them not to be together if that was what was in the cards for them.
If I didn't join online, I would be more than sure that Sawyer/Kate were the story the writers were working towards, and I've never felt this way about an underdog pairing before. It's just so clear to me, especially since both of their relationships with the others were kept at a minimum in regards to the emotional impact back so much of it was told offscreen, except the part where they unraveled because of their relationship with each other. |
