It's for the best too because as far as I can tell, there is no story left to tell with Jack and Kate. They have done everything together before the show ended...mostly because they have never separated from one another. There is no excuse for them not to be together if that was what was in the cards for them.
If I didn't join online, I would be more than sure that Sawyer/Kate were the story the writers were working towards, and I've never felt this way about an underdog pairing before. It's just so clear to me, especially since both of their relationships with the others were kept at a minimum in regards to the emotional impact back so much of it was told offscreen, except the part where they unraveled because of their relationship with each other.
