Yeah, exactly. He only ever admitted that he liked Vivian, but there was never any evidence that he liked her more than he ever did with Zoe. The is why that scene in 3x11 (?) is important because he said that he liked Vivian more than he liked anyone since Zoe. Meaning only that he never liked any girl at all ever since Zoe came to town.
