Thanks for the caps Susan... for once I wasn't feeling cunning or deceit from Dan. He seemed genuine and remorseful. I also liked that it was Haley he was trying to appeal to, not Nathan.

I really love Dan and Haley scenes... Oh man, that scene where Haley showed up at his doorstep, and was like, "... but God help you..." I was like oh geese. At that point I almost wanted to start rooting for Dan to do the right thing. It's like your son and daughter in law are giving you that small window to be let back into the fold, into the family... You could so tell by his expression, it meant a lot to him. I was like eek, don't mess it up Dan, please don't. This is where it starts for him, at least to me. If he wants to even attempt to get back what he's lost, in regards to his family, this invite was huge. I can't wait to see how the rest of that unfolds.

I agree Krys... I found myself rooting for Dan to find solace, to find redemption, and then I remembered Keith, and I became bitter. I hate that Keith had to die in order for Dan to become redeemable. Keith really was an all-encompassing figure for the show.

I know I'm like the whacko, lone person who thinks it, but... I just, I don't know... I think they are going to have to redeem Dan, or at least try to. I mean, I don't think they can leave him out there in the unstable murderer realm forever, that's just way too awful. And, when I find myself having moments of weakness with Dan, it always stems from scenes where you can see bits of the multi-layered Dan from season one, and all of those scenes typically have one thing in common, and that's that they involve some core member of the Scott fam. I think that's the man's weakness... and last night, the way he played across, I felt bad, because I saw a man who had made these horrible mistakes, but just wanted to be loved, and just wanted another chance with his family... But, you are right too, and then you think about Keith, and it's like, well... I think watching Dan battle himself and living with what he knows he's done, might end up being a large part of Dan's punishment...

I know what you mean, Krystal. Dan's redemption will be his own punishment. Soo ironic!

That's the perfect way to state it. So very true. It's haunting to think about. Redemption can be a double edged sword, especially in Dan's case.
