GENERAL DISCUSSION - SEASON 5

The fifth season jumps four years into the future. The characters struggle with adulthood after college and return to Tree Hill
for various reasons. Lucas, a published author, is in a committed relationship with his editor, Lindsey Strauss. This relationship turns
into a love triangle when Peyton returns after a failed music career in Los Angeles. The marriage of Nathan and Haley goes into crisis
as Nathan faces major depression after being seriously injured the night he was drafted into the NBA. Brooke looks for life beyond
success in her work and struggles to get acceptance from her mother Victoria. Peyton, with help from Brooke, launches a music label.
Lucas and Skills return to the Tree Hill Ravens as coaches and ask for Nathan's help with star player Quentin. Mouth begins a relationship
with his boss Alice, to get ahead in his job. He later settles down with Brooke's assistant, Millicent Huxtable.

Lindsay was a unnecessary Character, the only thing I like about her was her friendship to Haley.
I hated to see Nathan in the wheelchair, sleeping on the coach, being always angry and drinking to much. He should have been more there for his son.

I agree. Jamie was the one, who had to suffer. Nathan with long hair, it was really depressive to see him like that. And when Nathan and Haley nearly had faced their problems - Nanny Carrie came out from hell.

im not gonna into great detail on my thoughts on season 5 because I'm planning to rewatch it soon but i will say i loved the b/l friendship, loved the lp angst, hated lindsey, hated all the mouth focus. but in general i thought it was a great season. my third favorite. brooke was awesome this season and i loved that ph were friends again. i felt like it got back to its roots in a lot of ways.

i will say, i loved nh this season, again because i liked the drama for them. them being happy got boring so i felt it was realistic how they were being written and seeing nathans progression was really great. i felt after the divorce threat in episode 11 though they did just make up pretty fast which was weird for me. i was hoping for it to take a bit more time.

I liked season 5 for NH as well. I like how they had to deal with real issues. I also liked owen and brooke together, but I hated lindsey and anything dealing with her or nanny carrie.

I hated the whole Lindsey and Lucas storyline.

that was just boring.

Mouth ' s storylines weren't good at all.

I loved Brooke in this season.

linday/lucas was understandable but i HATED that he proposed to her, i wish he had never of done that because that was dumb. especially after kissing peyton in episode 7. his denial from the whole ordeal was just ridiculous.

i also thought it was really stupid/annoying how after the wedding he was so awful to peyton and then claimed to want lindsey back. that didnt make sense to me because the first 12 episodes it really seemed as though he was just hiding with lindsey. so once that ended i felt like ehe should have accepted it more.

nany carrie was the worst!

but it got really stupid in season 6 will the whole kidnapping of dan, that was just way over the top. i hated when he show tried to do down the horror route, it was stupid.

i loved the addition of brooke mom though! it created some great moments and added another layer to her character.

i thought owen was alright at first, but they really kind of turned him into a jerk, and by episode 11 i was rooting for her and chase again. i was disappointed they didnt resist that, but julian was a good addition for her. (minus their annoying drama in season 7)

chase was in season 5? really? I liked the dark naley when they weren't together.

yeah he was only in 1 episode though i think? episode 11? he went on that double date with owen/brooke and went with peyton. he and peyton kissed too.

he and brooke shared a cute scene when she was getting her coat and he made a comment about her wanting to get married she should call him.

it really seemed like he was still really interested in her so i am sad the show didnt play with that again but oh well.

I know. Peyton kissed Chase to make Lucas feel jealous. Haha that was great I think later she has told to someone he's a good kisser.

I'm not a big fan of this season as well. I hated the whole Mouth storyline. Lindsey was so annoying. And Lucas wanted to marry her was imo to rush. And nanny Carrie was over the top as well. She was a bit to freaky. I didn't like her kissing Nathan or went into the shower with him.

But what I like about that season were the Jamie scenes

nany carrie was irritating as freak, but at least she wasnt trying to murder people like she was in season 6.
