Episode 5.16: "Cryin' Won't Help You Now"
May 5, 2008 Lucas (Chad Michael Murray) investigates Dan’s (Paul Johansson) heart condition while Haley (Bethany Joy Galeotti) struggles with letting Dan into Jamie’s (guest star Jackson Brundage) life. Nathan (James Lafferty) urges Quentin (guest star Robbie Jones) to reinvent his game and Brooke (Sophia Bush) juggles her career with life as a new mother. Peyton (Hilarie Burton) tries to assuage her guilt over Lucas’ breakup, and Mouth (Lee Norris) gets a shot to be sports anchor. Antwon Tanner also stars. Greg Prange directed the episode written by William H. that was a pretty good episode.
i love all the basketball scenes and jamie is so adorable!! nathan and dan's scenes were really great and i really enjoyed all the brooke scenes. |

Great episode! (In terms of nathan and Brooke) overall...it was decent not my favorite this season but good.
Im disappointed in Haley for throwing away Jamie's letter tho. Idk... Brooke I loved her as always! Lucas... Im mixed about him. Nathan looked extra hot tonight. Peyton. I love the PH friendship. Mouth. eh. Milli. She has a funny last name. But shes cute. __________________

Pretty good solid episode. I enjoyed it. Especially the Nathan/Dan scenes. Their last scene was great. The CODA song was beautiful.
 Joy looked gorgeous. Le sigh Great Haley stuff, especially the last few scenes, with her struggle to let Dan in. The HJ scene at the end was made of adorable. Loved the NHL scene, I always love scenes with the young-Scotts. Aww what Jamie told Quentin, about doing anything to see his Dad play again. Freakin love this kid. Wish there was more NHJ/NH though. Total lack again. lame Loved all the basketball stuff. Nathan looked super hot, LOL then again when does he not. Something bothered me about Haley throwing Jamie's card away, I didn't like that. I mean she promised him, and I know she scared but I don't know. __________________
