Because Josh has already been talking up a storm about Kaitlin and her friends and the high school bull**** he's feeding the audience for next season. It's obvious that's the "new direction" he's taking the show.

He's also talked about the rest of the cast. I don't think it's going to be JUST Kaitlin, I don't they have the budget for all the extra casting that they'd have to do.

Josh has already said he's bringing in Kaitlin's friends. So, there will be some more guest stars. And he hasn't talked about the rest of the cast as much as he's pimping her. He definitely hasn't said anything about Ryan and SS.
