Killing Sarah right after Stefan meets her would be a waste. Damon doesn't even know who she is yet and you know the main reason she's here is for Damon's storyline.

edit: btw, will Bonnie get out next episode? I thought she was still stuck in that other dimension in the Christmas episode. But in the extended promo she's on the phone with Elena.

Bonnie's definitely still stuck in 1994 in the Christmas episode. I think someone was right about Liv only being able to hold the portal open between 1994 and 2012 for a certain amount of time. They're going to be forced to leave Bonnie behind because she doesn't make it back from Portland in time. Closing the portal without Bonnie is probably the difficult decision that Liv makes in this episode. I think they agreed to meet at the Gilbert House, and Bonnie arrives after they leave. The breakdown that someone saw being filmed was probably Bonnie realizing she lost her chance to return to 2012.

thank you! Oh okay. That could be it. But Kai's definitely out. Because he strangled a taxidriver in the extended promo. I wonder who he'll go after first. Jo or Liv and Luke.

The show isn't caught up to current time. It's currently Thanksgiving 2012 in the show's timeline.

ETA: I think the taxidriver was Joshua Parker, Kai's father.

Maybe he thinks they're just going to quickly kill Enzo, but Matt decides to torture him first and it freaks Jeremy out.
