Still hurt over Rory's (Alexis Bledel) decision to drop out of Yale and move in with Emily (Kelly Bishop) and Richard (Edward Herrmann), Lorelai tells her parents that they can take care of Rory from now on. Richard hires an old friend and respected attorney (guest star Robert Foxworth, "Falcon Crest") to help Rory get an easy sentence for stealing the yacht, but the judge gives Rory 300 hours of community service. Logan (Matt Czuchry) throws Rory a "felon" party. Yanic Truesdale, Liza Weil and Sean Gunn also star. Amy Sherman-Palladino wrote and directed the episode. TVguide - Luke (Scott Patterson) and Lorelai (Lauren Graham) fans can breathe a sigh of relief after the first episode of the new season, when we'll learn what Luke has to say to Lorelai's proposal. But that could cause chaos for the whole rest of the year. And speaking of chaotic, the rift between Lorelai and Rory (Alexis Bledel) is only going to get bigger as the teenager continues to stay with her grandparents and adjusts to her freedom from college.

hey everyone i am ok. i went to memphis but had no internet so now i at my aunts house in atlanta. i watch my city, new orleans, underwater and i am shock. all the places they show i was just there last friday. i think my home is gone and my college is gone. three of my friends i cant contact. so i'm here letting u know i'm fine if u were worried.

Do you guys think that we'll get a big breakup between L&L this season like the fiddler who got away one? Like because of the stress due to the rift between L&R and the still present lack of communication (it's gotten better, but is still there...), Lorelai pulls away because it's too much to deal with?
I do think that Logan & Rory will have a big breakup this year, just because usually that's the way it goes on tv. __________________

jania ~~ Thanks for checking in. I have been thinking of you a lot. So glad that you are okay physically but you must be so upset emotionally. Hang in there girl. Life will get better. Hope all of your friends and relatives are good too. Its heartbreaking to lose things but people are more important.
Meanwhile visit here to take your mind off of things. We will try to keep your spirits up!! I think Luke and Lorelai are solid now. Sure they will fight and bicker but that's just who they are. No breakups this season. They found out last season how much they need to be together and work things out. This season they will become even closer and learn to work as a unit. They have each been on their own for a long time. But they will learn the great joy of being a united couple and building a new life together. I think the little bed scene is the beginning of that and we will see more as the season progresses. __________________

I got the impression from the sides (from 6.02?) that what Sookie was showing Lorelai was a cake. Maybe they have an engagement party (Lorelai and Max had one, so why shouldn't Lorelai and Luke have one). Then again, it could be a baptism cake.
