Okay, after scrolling through some of the comments… Anyone that believes Oliver didn't mean every damn word he said to Felicity wasn't paying attention. This is exactly what we (OF shippers) wanted. An acknowledgement of Oliver's feelings, but Felicity being oblivious. The look on his face during the island scene spoke volumes. HE'S ****ING IN LOVE WITH HER. This is not a drill

We've already discussed that it's best they not get together right now. He and Sara just broke up, his mother was murdered, the city was nearly demolished, his sister hates him/left him. I think the dude needs a breather. We didn't want them to get together then miss out on 5 MONTHS of development of their relationship. This way when season 3 starts things can start fresh. Oliver will be all butthurt when Barry wakes up and Felicity rushes to his side.

lol to be fair, he's telling the truth if the episode is anything to go by. It did take using felicity as bait to take slade down, and the idea of him and felicity being "unthinkable". I don't see how he's lying.

Lol, yep. The ep was clearly named for them given the ending scene. But I am side eyeing him because I legit think it's damage control. They will come for him and he knows it.

This was a good finale though. Much better than the last one.

I'm impressed about them being right about something. "We'll be doing something with Oliver and Felicity by the end of the year that will really confound and satisfy some viewers and infuriate others but I think that's when you know you're taking chances."

Count me on the satisfy side. What did everyone realistically expect? O/F to re enact the scene in "From Here to Eternity" on Lian Yu?! This is a superhero action show and this is how you build an epic love story. I didn't see any O/S or O/L emotions flying in the finale. Nope. It was all O/F.

I'm neutral when it comes to shipping. I just came from tumblr and seeing most reactions gave me the idea that many weren't happy with the twist upon first viewing.

Why is it so hard for writers to just tell a good story? Why can't things ever be simple?
