I cant wait to see the sequel though Im a bit scared too. I usually hate sequels. Always mess up from the first movie which I get annoyed by so hopefully this will be good.

I'd be happy that we get it a day before N. America, but I'm not going to see it on the first day anyway

I've never seen a horror movie at the cinema (I don't go much) so I'll try to get along to this one. Maybe at a late night showing

It's mesmerizing especially when she goes off the screen so quickly

The reviews I read in the newspapers this morning for The Ring 2 were worse than I expected.

But I think it's still gonna be Box Office #1 this weekend. I'd probably only go if other people are going. It's pretty much a popcorn movie anyway.

I was going to go today, but almost everyone I asked said they were going today so I just decided not to go. Sounds weird, but I can't see scary-ish moves with my friends, they talk/yell too much.

Sold out? Wow.

I'll go later, I guess.

I can understand that, when I am at the movies I like when its nice and calm and people arent going crazy and talking alot during the movie and I know if I were to go today or even tomorrow there would be tons of teenies being all annoying. It sucks that its PG-13.

I couldnt believe it was sold out too, I was like " whoa" and its even sold out for tomorrow too cause I was going to order tickets then and they said it was all solded out but had a few for sunday and the theatre I go too it pretty big.

Unfortunately, this is the trend now for all "scary" -- and use the term loosely -- Movies that fall into the so-called "horror" or thriller category.

Face it. Horror has gone mainstream much to the dismay of die-hard horror fans who grew up with things like the original Exorcist, Amityville Horror, Poltergiest, Friday the 13th and Halloween movies (the original classics).

I don't know if this was mentioned earlier on this thread...

But MTV showed the first 15 minutes of The Ring II last Sunday night. It wasn't scary, but you could tell the atmosphere the original had is just gone now since this film is in fact a sequel, so fans pretty much know what to expect.
