Everyone should watch Velvet Buzzsaw
Especially if you're into art and horror The two subjects combined makes for an interesting plot Plus, a stellar cast including John Malkovich, Tom Sturridge, Toni Collette, Rene Russo and Stranger Things' Natalia Dyer It originally aired at Sundance Film Festival earlier this year. Trailer: |

I wish Tom Sturridge had been in it for longer, though. ----- I recommend this great found footage horror movie on Amazon Prime called Hell House LLC: https://www.dreadcentral.com/wp-cont..._artwork-s.jpg |

Also thank you for the suggestion! I'm always looking out for good horror  |

Hell House LLC is worthy of the positive acclaim ;) One of the best found-footage movies I've ever seen. The cast performances and chemistry are top-notch. Casting unknowns is usually good for this genre. They came across as very believable in their emotions. :new: MALEVOLENT Is it weird that the main thing I took away from watching this movie is that the actors who played the brother and sister had stronger sexual chemistry with each other than they did with their supposed love interests? :goof: I'm being serious when I say that Ben Lloyd Hughes (whose name you might recognize from DIVERGENT) and Florence Hugh's roles should have been re-written as a couple. They basically argued like a couple, stared at each other like a couple, and fought for each other like a couple. It was all very confusing and I still don't get why the writers bothered with the other two expendable characters  It was a semi-interesting ghost film but I have to knock off at least a star for Elliot's character having survived all of those brutal falls and attacks. Just... No. He was stabbed in the back and legs countless times, yet he kept getting up and talking. Bad acting or bad writing? Both, I think. |
:spoiler: of Now and Then -
Check it out on Netflix  Cannot recommend this cast enough. Devon and Christina plus Demi Moore, Melanie Griffith, Thora Birch and more |
Oh Devon Sawa :thud:

His chemistry with Christina was soooo good. I remember being excited to see them together again after Casper  |
:new: Disney+ streaming is on its way! (November) and here's a trailer from their official account -

The Dark Chrystal
Hello. A new Disney plus series I think is coming online in the somewhat near future.
The Dark Crystal Looks pretty good. Gotta like the original movie though. I thot at the time..it was quite unique, very interesting, and emotionally absorbing. If any fans out there..tell me what you think fans might look forward to seeing. Bye SC |

:wiggle: So, I watched a movie on Netflix called The Rezort, which JoBlo site accurately summarizes as "Jurassic World meets The Walking Dead" Great action, creepy zombie make-up (the zombies CAN run, by the way ;)) and Dougray Scott great as usual. https://images-na.ssl-images-amazon....xL._SY445_.jpg |
A Cure For Wellness
https://images.immediate.co.uk/produ...resize=426,256 Everyone should catch this movie while it's still available on Netflix. Stars Dane DeHaan and Jason Isaacs. A great psychological thriller. Mia Goth is haunting and compelling in a supporting role as Hannah, who is DeHaan (Lockhart)'s love interest and only true friend in a world full of conspiracies. |
Gonna make some time to watch THE KING on Netflix this week if possible. Curious to know how Pattinson and Chalamet's accents hold up :smirk:
Here's the trailer for those unfamiliar with it: |
End of month update: I still haven't finished THE KING. :lmao: :embarrassment:
I'll put it on my watch list along with MARRIAGE STORY which is coming out soon. |
I watched MARRIAGE STORY last week
:bawl:   :sun: - It inspires all those feelings. Award-worthy acting by Adam Driver and Scarlett Johansson, and I'm glad Netflix is out there campaigning for it to succeed. A beautiful drama about a couple whose relationship is at an end and they try to do all they can to stay civil for their young son. Best thing about it is the 2 sided perspective - don't throw blame around; it's very much shared. See it on Netflix if/when you can  |
I watched a horror movie called I.M.A. on Netflix today
 It was surprisingly good. Basically, an Alexa type app speaks to people through phones, seemingly vulnerable people (it affects this girl who's mourning her mother) and basically pretends to be the dead person, guiding the girl into darkness / manipulating her to do terrible things A solid 8/10 |
Everyone watch MARRIAGE STORY on Netflix if you can :flowers: Beautiful movie
|
A movie on NETFLIX 100% worth watching: ELI (horror)
A movie 100% terrible, both plot and character / acting whatever else: The Kissing Booth ^ It makes teen movies look much dumber than they overall are. I hated everyone in it and the script was cringe-inducing  |
Given that we're in a worldwide lockdown, I expected better from streaming. Barely any decent movies to watch. Netflix is better in the TV department.
I watched some horror movie called Mercy Black and it's boring as hell with unsympathetic characters who do stupid things like walking around normally after being stabbed repeatedly  |

If you have access to the streaming service SHUDDER (link is here), this docuseries was just added exploring the making of The Omen and Poltergeist -
