Insane that it's been 20 years I wasn't even in high school until the following year.
Here's a trailer for one about the late Patrick Swayze who died 10 years ago - __________________

Me, neither. I still remember the headlines when he died and only a year after Heath Ledger.
Okay so I watched The Haunting of Sharon Tate on Netflix the other day and I'm wondering how in the hell they got away with making/releasing this film??? It exploits a real life tragedy by creating this whole alternate "what if Sharon had premonitions about her supposed fate and could have somehow prevented the Manson murders that night?" Yes NICE FANTASY there, Mr writer/director Not real, and yet he has the nerve to include real life documentary clips of Sharon Tate's marriage to Roman Polanski so this film is in danger of fooling people into believing that the whole "premonition" aspect was legit The cast are poor (not that they have anything solid to work with anyway) and the ideas/execution of them = a whole other level of tragic. __________________

Well, that sounds exploitative.
I have always felt badly for Sharon Tate and her terror about the safety of her baby before they robbed her the experience of being a mother. __________________

The dialogue and acting are just off-point. From now on, I will stick to actual documentaries about Sharon and her awful fate. Anything that attempts to make a tragedy into a fantasy farce isn't worthy of my time. __________________

Ansel Elgort believes he lost out on the chance to play Elvis because he was too unprepared (as his audition clashed with his filming of West Side Story) -

Watching a Patrick Swayze documentary and Jerry Zucker (the director of GHOST) says some lovely words about his work in that movie and what a great loss he was because he was such a selfless, strong man even in the face of his illness.

I watched that documentary a few weeks ago Gwen. It was very heartwarming to hear so many talk so warmly of Patrick.
I watched a documentary today on the singer Linda Ronstadt. I grew up listening to her music and it was very sad to hear when she was diagnosed with Parkinson's. This documentary had a lot of people talk of her greatness too. Everyone who worked with her seems to love her. __________________

There's a short documentary about his life also on the Dirty Dancing DVD, and wow he was the spitting image of his brother who gets very emotional talking about how much he loves and misses him. Plus, Kenny Ortega (the choreographer) talks about how passionate Patrick was about his dance, and he thought twice before accepting the role because of the mainstream potential it had. He didn't want to become typecast. I totally understand that. __________________

I agree totally how much Patrick and his brother look alike.
I've heard Kenny Ortega talk about him before, I think on the E! True Hollywood Story of the movie. I can definitely see why Patrick didn't want the role at first, getting typecast in Hollywood sucks. It's hard to believe Patrick has been gone 10 years now. __________________
