- I think the X3: The Last Stand was an abomination and I would still be angry about it if they hadn't erased that with the last movie. That was a very clever move on the writers part.

- I agree that some characters got too little screentime and some characterizations were way off. I hope this new timeline fixed that too. Also I totally agree that Scott/Cyclops needs to get more screentime and decent scenes. Storm should be written more like her comic book persona. The same goes for Rogue.

- It seems Gambit is going to be in the next movie. I don't know why it took them so long to introduce him. He should have appear in X2.

Same here.

I wanted my damn money back.

Mystique is going to get her own movie? Didn't know about that that might be something that I can be ok with, not sure how I feel

Agree about Storm and Rogue. Both need to be more sassy and confident. Maybe they can rewrite their characters a little.

^ I think they can change the characters a little bit and justify it with the fact this is a new timeline.

It's just rumors now. I don't know if Jennifer Lawrence will agree to it.

Sarah, I don't know about Mystique getting her own movie but if you heard about it, it's all speculation/rumors.

YES to all of this! Rogue was very different in the movies (and no accent too!). I'm fine with how Anna portrayed her but Rogue is an "active" mutant and fights a lot. She's nothing like that in the movies.

That was a sad point of the movies but like Theresa sad she is still young and just got her powers so needed to adjust, so she can become a powerful mutant and learn to fight, as she did in the cartoons/comics

Maybe she needs time to build up independence. In a way with Bobby she doesn't have to.

I think that's a good enough explanation, kinda sad that we haven't or we won't see a strong Rogue. Really hope with the new movie, that she's in it and much more independent/strong

I hate Movie Rogue. Her relationship with Logan is so inaccurate and I had to correct so many friends who were movie fans. That and she was scary Mary Sue,which pissed me off. If they put her with Remy,it's going to mollify me just a bit.

I also hate Nightcrawler/Storm because that happened in the comics after the X-men movies came out.

I've always been a Jean/Logan fan,but I liked movie Cyclops. I feel like they did a better job with the triangle this time. I didn't have that much of a problem with Storm in the movies, but I agree about her characterization.

I think what happened in the first set was that they chose to pander, rather than do their homework. The last X-Men movie was a breath of fresh air and I was thrilled. I like like Pyro just fine, but his character became popular because they used an inaccurate characterization.

I never read much on him in the comics, so in Evo and the comics, I was shocked to see that he was a blond, flamboyant romance novelist who's fairly hardcore. There's no angst, brooding or anything like that. He's a and quite proud of it.

Thanks for your insights. It does help to hear from a comic background

Wolverine and Jubilee were the relationship I remember very clearly, but with rogue and logan I feel like they had to create a alternative

Thanks.

I won't lie-I threw a fit and wondered where the hell she went. What annoyed me was the fact that they eventually decided to have Jubes in the movies, but it was for like 6 seconds in a hallway. If Marie was the substitute, then why not stick with it? It was a slap in the face and made things worse.

I think Logan with anyone young is starting to bug them-Jubilee got her own comic because the writer was a dumbass. He basically said that Logan seems like a pedophile if he's around teenage girls.

Apparently, Marvel agreed and made a Jubilee series so bad that I wound up mopping up the floor with the first issue.

Basically, with this guy's logic, he'd be molesting Rogue and even if he and Jubilee were like father and daughter most of the time, he's unfit to be her role model. This idiot insinuated that if they went on too many long road trips, it was super-happy jailbait time.

Wolverine is over a century old and if they're going to nitpick, make him stop caring about Kitty, too. Geez...make him stop caring about his students when he was headmaster of some school.

In X3,I feel like they just jumbled up various storylines and threw them in a pot. They didn't even distinguish good from evil. Jamie/Multiple Man has never been with the Brotherhood, Marrow was a Morlock and even the Brotherhood spit on her and Leech was, too. They even added in that Dark Pheonix storyline, but didn't even see it halfway through.

I don't know...the current set of movies just seems so much cleaner and accurate. I went crazy when they made the joke about Peter/Pietro. When it came out I was much younger, so as an adult,I can't appreciate the old set as much.
