Jake has been consistently great and Tatiana's Orphan Black work speaks for itself.

I saw a few great Korean movies and a Japanese anime last year.

Saw 'LadyBird' - thought I would check it out because of the nominations it has. Thought it was a quite good film, must admit thought it would be slightly better.

The cast was good though esp. Saoirse Ronan

As far as I'm aware, you see, LadyBird had zero hype. It came out of TIFF with good reviews and then was never heard of again until it came out.

that’s why I waited a couple of days.

And it didn’t just have good reviews, it had fantastic reviews (at least 164 in a row). That’s the hype. Even now, it’s only had a single bad review out of 214.

I don't really follow those sites, Dave. I'm just not used to judging movies by the critics. But I do watch a lot of news programmes. And a lot of TV. So, usually, movies that have a lot of "hype" become a bit evident.

But, yeah, it's not like keep track of all the publications on the subject.
