Again, you can never say never. You don't know what the future holds for you.

OK. I don't mean to, like, beat dead horse or anything... but have you seen a movie recently that you didn't feel had been overhyped? Out of, like, personal curiosity...

So, is it just me or wouldn't it be better for the two of you to stick to independent flicks, then? I don't mean to generalize or anything, but it seems that, as soon as a movie has a budget for marketing (and, usually, that means a production budget to justify that marketing allocation), you feel it's overhyped?

I realize, Dave, that this would put a crimp on your special movie-club dealio where you get to see a whole whack of them for comparatively little money, but it's just an errant thought I'm having here...

Anyway, it's your money/time. And I've got no ground to stand on anyway, given that I can't remember going to the movies during the whole of 2017. (I probably did go. I'm just saying I can't remember...)

Well I hardly ever used to go before that. It was just something to make me ever-so-slightly more sociable.

It's not sticking to a certain genre, or independent films, because I've seen a couple of those in the last month that I thought wasn't all that.

It's just the film itself whether it has a budget or not

i finally saw Wind River yesterday, holy cow that film is great! loved the snowy mountain scenery, good plot and suspense, great acting by Jeremy Renner and Elizabeth Olson, and there was a real and palpable sense of eeriness and isolation to the film settings. great film, definitely going to get it on blu-ray at some point.

Well, like I said, it was just an observation.
