This is a very strange period we're living in right now. Give yourself a break. We're all having to adjust to a million little things all the time. It's normal that our brain space is not what it usually is.

I started reading "Hoax: Donald Trump, FOX News, And The Dangerous Distortion of Truth" by Brian Stelter from last year.

It's not a bad book. I haven't finished it though. Recently I've beem also reading "It was all a Lie" by Stuart Stevens. There's a chapter called "Family Values" in it & it was mentioned how Republican candidates announce thar God would like them to win whichever race that they run for office. Some odd quotes fromTed Cruz & Ricj Perry regarding that in it.

I hope what happened to me after Bush 43 left office doesn't happen to you. I had gotten all these books on his leadership and then he was gone and I was left with a bunch of books I didn't want to read.

I keep buying all these books and then I haven't had the attention span to actually pick them up and read them.

I suppose that I'm the same way, but I refuse to beat myself up over it.

I just got 3 books from the library even though I’m moving in April and should be packing more than reading.

One is “Truly Like Lightning” by David (Fox Mulder) Duchovny who happens to be an author. Audio book form for my work commute.

Then “Blood Cruise” and “The Shuddering”, 2 horror titles, of course. I’ve started the Shuddering, story of a group of friends trapped in a cabin mansion with monsters approaching the place and they can’t leave!

^ I'd have been afraid to lose them in the move, but then that won't happen if they're in your car. Well, the audio book anyway. Also, you're not me, so I'm guessing you won't lose them.

I need to wake advantage of this vacation to read more.

a modernized version of the Tom Swift sci-fi adventure books, maybe. maybe a new reprint of Doc Savage, or the 1970s Executioner novels.

i've had enough of non-fiction for a bit.

Then, if you're still trying to read more, start with one of those. And don't be afraid to "jump ship" if you lose interest. If you want to read more, reading should be fun.

I might buy "Her Name Was Margaret: Life and Death on the Street" by Denise Davy. Libraries in this area do not have it currently & I'm curious about it.

I'm curious to hear how that one came up on your radar.

I learned of that book & Margaret Jacobsen yesterday from the CBC News app. I have the N.Y. Times app also & thought it was on there, but no it's in the CBC app & on its site. The story is titled "Her Name Was Margaret; New book explores life and death of homeless Hamilton woman"

Fair enough. I was just wondering how the story of a Hamilton homeless woman made it all the way to the U.S. West Coast.
