You certainly don't. Even in this day and age, I see practical effects that are 30 years old that are better than some CGI.

I always wondered what the people involved in original films thought of remakes. They work so hard on a film and then suddenly someone says they want to do it again and "differently." I'm glad Langenkamp was honest and am happy that she's loyal to the original.

There is even a picture of Robert Englund holding a sign that says "The remake sucks". Lol.
