I've actually just seen this episode recently, was this The Unearthly Child? It isn't too graphic for me because the props all look fake but I can imagine what it must be like back then.

And, I swear we keep hearing about Doctor Who being too scary for children, but that's just a general one, and not just about the classic series.
Or the show aimed for children (generally). The series has grown now and of course more adults watch nowadays.

I did mean when it originally aired.

It was originally an educational programme for children when it started, but they did drop after a while.

I didn't know that until I got back into watching it again and wanted to know a bit more about it.

I like the tone of the show since New Who, especially now with S10. This is my favorite season yet for Peter.

It is definitely his best season. It always seems like the Doctor regenerates after each actors best season. I guess they like to make sure they all leave at the top of their game.

I definitely agree with that.

It never would have lasted as long as it did if it hadn't changed.

This is the thing that makes it emotional for me. Why do they have to leave when it's their best season yet?

And it never feels long enough for any of them.

I always want just one more series.

i think Moffat probably wasn't daring enough and took his time with the character, at this point I feel like he's throwing caution to the wind and writing what he wants to do which is most likely what Peter wanted to as well

I always want another series too I think they want their departure to have the biggest impact possible on the views so I think the aim for emotional exits.

I feel really bad and super sad. We're almost over S10 and halfway through this year and before we know it, it's already Christmas. I also read somewhere that they will shoot the CS by next month? Not so sure how accurate that is.
