I'm looking forward to this ep so much! But I'm also kind of sad that we're so close to Peter's final ep . He's my favorite Doctor thus far ... though Ten/David is a close second.

Part of me is nervous that we're going to say goodbye to somebody in tonight's ep. Haven't read any spoilers, but I have a sinking feeling about it.

I'm excited for this episode as well. If we've all seen the Next Time trailer, then that's why.

Yeah, this is part 1 of the finale next Saturday. And then we have to wait a long time for the CS in December, Peter's very last.

OMG WHAT AN EPISODE. After I watched this, I wanted to watch it again right away.

I can't believe Bill got shot! Is this how Pearl leaves the series? That old man did say that if she leaves the ship (with her new "heart"), she'll die. I hope this isn't the end of Bill and I'll wait out the next ep to know for sure.

Nardole is hilarious in this ep. I love Missy and all her scenes, especially that opening, was brilliant.

But most of all... THE MASTER IS BACK! From the minute we met that old man that Bill was talking to, it was very obvious that it was The Master because he was getting so much screentime. I really would've loved this if we didn't know John was returning but still, that reveal of him taking off his disguise in-front of Missy earned a squeal from me. And especially that part where 12 made a shocked look when he heard his voice.

I also love that this looks like a prequel to how the Mondasian Cybermen were created. This was such a lovely and strong episode and is my favorite from this series to date.

I loved how they made the Cybermen dark and terrifying again! ("Pain. Pain. Pain." "Kill me." )

Can't wait to see the Masters team up!

I agree this was a strong episode. I loved Extremis but this is probably my new favourite of this season so far.

Not convinced Bill is done. I think the Doctor find a way to save her, perhaps somehow related to his impending regeneration.

That episode is a masterpiece! It was really terrifying (I watched it in the dark and yeah it was scary). I'm glad critics and fans alike seem to like it. Hopefully next week delivers!

I really enjoyed the whole idea of the genesis of the cybermen and the doctor desperately trying to redeem Missy and his reasoning was sound

As for Bill I'm not sure she's done and even if she isnt or is, it was to be expected. The foreshadowing was heavy (which is why I think that Pearl might leave doctor who because of a new showrunner but bill won't necessarily die). The only problem would be the black hole he said he couldn't really go back in time becausenot it so it'll be interesting to see what happens.
And it was so clever to give a reason for the disguise indeed she would have recognized him right away!

Missy was absolutely hilarious and I feel like Moffat doesn't care anymore about the meta commentary (exposition and comic relief )

The only problem is that to be honest I'm pissed at the BBC the whole surprise would have been 5000 times bigger if we didn't know Simm was coming back (at least they could have refrained from giving out the episode he was coming back in)
Also I don't understand the whole flash forward to the regeneration before the title sequence I guess its to allow casual viewers to know about peter leaving soon I don't know it was something unecessary in my opinion

Right? They were so creepy.

This is what I'm hoping for as well. Something to do with his regeneration at the start of this episode. Surely, he just can't let Bill have this kind of ending and he will at least try to save her like what he did with Clara.

I loved Missy in this episode too and I will miss Michelle Gomez on this show tremendously.

THIS. If we didn't know John was coming back, the reveal would've made me lose my mind. I'll be talking about this episode FOR DAYS. I think the tease of the regeneration at the start was cruel. Like we know it's gonna happen but that's probably going to be in the CS.

Them revealing it made no sense as well : I mean they managed to have him shoot the episodes and nobody knew, I feel like it was either going to be leaked and they wanted to be proactive or they just thought it would help the ratings (as far as I can see it really didn't)

Yeah that's definitely in the CS because of the snow i would say, i'm curious to see how it happens because he looks actually surprised to regenerate? Also Moffat better hopes Clara is somewhere around there or i'm gonna be mad

I don't think I can express just how much I loved this episode.

I LOVED having the original Mondasian Cybermen and Jon Simm's Master back.

The only think I didn't like was knowing that Jon Simm was back and I realised who he was pretty quickly, especially as I remember how the Master used to love to wear disguises.

I thought the ending with the Doctor finding out that Bill is the Cyberman he was talking it was horrible, but I also thought that this might not be the end of her.

I think that I read The Sun revealed it first, which really annoyed Steven Moffat.

I don't want to be reminded that the Twelfth Doctor is going to regenerate soon.

I hope they learned this lesson from now on. It sucks. I would have had a more WTF reaction from this ep.

And 12's hair is longer in that regeneration too so something happens in the finale or in-between the finale and CS.

The Sun? If i was the BBC i would rethink their policy when it comes to confidentiality. I mean their leaks are getting ridiculous : you had the scripts leaked months before for the beginning of series 8 and then some actual episodes, then you had that amazon mistake where fans got the boxset for part B of series 7 before it was broadcasted, they had problems with Sherlock when the final episode was leaked hours before the british broadcast AND some plot twists were ruined by photos.

Yeah, it was The Sun.

I don't think the BBC could have done anything about Amazon accidentally sending out the wrong DVDs, but I agree that the leaks are getting a bit silly.

It's not just the BBC it's happened to, especially when it comes to having episodes leaked online.

I didn't go looking online for scripts and I try to avoid too many spoilers.

It's not always possible, cos I got a MASSIVE spoiler about Star Wars: The Force Awakens when someone just posted on a comment on a random place, which really me off.

Oh yes, I remember back during the 5th season of GoT, I think around 4 or 5 eps leaked? That was really unfortunate.

And in this day and age, people are just always looking for spoilers and then will post them online, it's disheartening. I don't like spoilers and steer clear of them as much as I can.

But hopefully going forward, the BBC will be more careful. Imagine if most of us didn't know John is coming back?
