I met & talked with James Moran (writer of many Torchwood episodes & a Dr. Who episode) this past weekend ... again Met him last year & made another appearance this year at GeekyCon in Orlando. He's such a friendly, funny guy.

They have such great chemistry it would be a shame not to utilise it in another TV season or maybe a movie. Audios are good too, but you can't see their expressions!

The dalek cemetery/sewer reminded me so much of Torchwood: Miracle day.

I was reading DW transcripts and this part from Army of Ghosts reminded me of how NDErs on Torchwood would describe the afterlife...

RAJESH: And what's "the Void"?
THE DOCTOR: The space between dimensions. There's all sorts of realities around us, different dimensions, billions of parallel universes all stacked up against each other. The Void is the space in-between. Containing absolutely nothing. Imagine that, nothing. No light, no dark, no up, no down. No life. No time. Without end. My people called it the Void, the Eternals call it the Howling. But some people call it Hell.
RAJESH: But someone built the sphere. What for? Why go there?
THE DOCTOR: To explore. To escape. You could sit inside that thing and eternity would pass you by. The Big Bang... end of the universe, start of the next, wouldn't even touch the sides. You'd exist outside the whole of creation.

Do you think that maybe if you die on the time rift (areas like Cardiff) you end up trapped in the Void instead of crossing over to the spirit realms?

I always knew the people on Torchwood who only saw "blackness" and "emptiness" were really just seeing the space between the physical realm and another realm/plane. Since spirit worlds have a higher energy level you can choose what the vortex looks like. Most subconsciously pick some form of travel. They imagine going through a road, desert, ocean, jungle, forest, elevator, staircase, ladder, escalator, hallway, tunnel, etc.

Happy 10th anniversary to Torchwood

To celebrate 10 years of Torchwood, Big Finish have offered a 25% off any Big Finish produced Torchwood story until Friday. This is to also celebrate the release of The Torchwood Archive, a special length audion which features Captain Jack, Gwen Cooper, Toshiko Sato, Ianto Jones, Susie Costello, Rhys Williams, PC Andy Davison and Yvonne Hartman.
