I don't get why people (people in general, not on this board) hate the dress so much. I really love it and I thought there were far worse dresses on the carpet tonight. I don't know, it's at least better than the horrid green and pink dresses from the Tony's and Globes.

I totally agree with you.
I like the dress and I really can't understand how people can hate it so much. the white thing's weird? maybe, but looking at the whole dress you'll see it's not as ugly as people are saying it is.

That's what I think as well. As soon as your eyes adjust to the white spot

all you see is pretty. Now seriously even if someone else than Lauren would wear this I still would like it. I love her alltogether look. Hair and make up are gorgeous and the dress really suits her. She looks so elegant and young as well.

Hmmm...to really analyze it, I think it's how it is draped on Lauren cuz of a slight bunching around the bust & midsection. Otherwise, it IS a rather elegant gown in an asymmetrical frame.

Her dark black hair looks great & compliments the dress. And yes, I saw PLENTY of worse examples on the red carpet tonight!

I didn't think that the dress was ugly... I thought that it looked pretty good on Lauren... I didn't really care for her shoes though. But all in all she was beautiful.

I like the dress, it actually seems comfortable on her, and if Lauren likes it then that's all that matters IMO.

That said I think she should have taken Valentine's advice
