I'm tired of this whole Haddie thing. Grow up already.
Loved the wrapping paper story. Zeek's an old softie. Lauren looked beautiful, as always. Jabbar and Sydney were adorable. I love Mae Whitman. ETA: Quite a bit of Drew in this episode. __________________

I find the Alex/Haddie storyline interesting but I feel like it's taking over the whole show... They don't show much of anyone else, maybe it's just me?

I really liked this episode! I agree that the Haddie thing is taking up too much time. On the one hand I just want her to get over it but on the other hand I get it. Last year we always complained that they always wrapped up the story lines in one episode so at least they aren't doing that anymore....
I love Mae as well __________________

Another strong episode...a little too much of Haddie, but I get it.
Kristina...annoying again... I think Adam understands where Alex is coming from. Loved Zeek he is such a sweetie. Of course the little ones are cute. Jasmine was irritating, but at least Crosby stood his ground. Sarah trying to help Drew was cute and she looked beautiful as usual. I think Adam and Kristina are going way overboard and of course it is biting them in the butt. They need to lighten up. __________________

I liked this episode, but didn't love it. I guess I'm just a bit sick of the play storyline and, like a few of us have already said, the Haddie/Alex storyline. I'm ready for something new. Maybe next episode?
On a positive note, I enjoyed the Drew/Sarah scenes very much and there was also a Kraham scene. ETA: Oh, and what's with Kristina being a witch to Camille? Reminds me of when she was that way with Sarah last season. Writers please, do something to redeem this character. __________________

The Drew one kinda came out of no where, I know he's a kid but leaving the sale of Christmas paper until January, it's like selling Pumpkins after Halloween, but at least the paper can be used next year. Love Sarah's sales technique and by the way OMG could she look more pretty in that scene? Zeek talking to Sarah, nice touch with the "Late with the rent." And finally a new scene between Sarah and Adam "Can I get his (Alex) number..." love it. good to see Zeek buying the paper in the end, wonder if we'll get to see it in a Christmas episode, assuming we get a 3rd season. Jabbar and Sydney were great, nice to see Jabbar overcome his shyness and say his line, love how Sydney made a deal with Crosby after loosing the part. So many great scenes this week I'm surely forgetting something. Again Zeek with some great lines when talking about Jabbar. Good to see Crosby stand up to Jasmine, she does (as Zeek would put it) wear the pants when it comes to Jabbar and their relationship. And then we have Haddie so busted! I feel sorry for Alex getting caught in the middle and not of his making. But why do they have to play the black card? I thought we were beyond that in 2011. Dumb move with the door and super grounding, I mean I can see the parents POV but I think they are going over the top and in the end it backfired badly with her moving in with the grand parents. Also good that Alex went to see Adam at his work. Its funny how grand parents sometimes have more sense then parents when it comes to kids. Again Camille also getting caught up in the mess, it did lead to some nice moments with Kristina and I like they use nicknames Cami and Kris Also nice Amber helped out and Alex called her to talk but I have to wonder where this will lead now that Haddie has left her home. __________________

I really enjoyed it Lauren had a line at one point that made me do a spit-take but I can't remember now what it was!
I actually enjoyed the play this week even though I'd been getting sick of it. Sydney was very cute as Marilyn and Julia's reaction was funny Jabbar was cute too and of course the little glasses kid! I get sick of scenes with just Crosby and Jasmine - I just feel so little for her as a character. I was SO into the Haddie storyline this week! I just felt it all rang so true. I'm (almost) 25, but those frustrating teenage years where you feel like a grown-up, but have no financial independence are embarrassingly fresh in my mind. It wasn't for the same reasons, but there was a similar sentiment when I lived with my grandmother for a year when I was 18 then went back home for a while before my sister and I got our own place. We've been living together in our own flat in the city since I was 20 and she was 17. I think it goes back to what Sarah was saying to Amber last week - that your kids aren't you. Haddie is a clever, sensitive girl, but she's stubborn and a huge drama queen. Adam and Kristina need to realise that inherently she's a good kid, and cut her some slack - this relationship would fizzle out on it's own waaaay faster if they didn't keep telling her "no" Kristina was a nutjob in this episode. I'm always one to come to her defense, but it's hard to this week. I'll give her the fact that it must be really hard when your daughter feels more comfortable in confiding in another woman than she does with you, although I think that goes for a LOT of teenage girls. (My mum HATED my ballet teacher for that reason but it all worked out! ) Camille did well to let Kristina have her little hissy fit without rising to the bait. Amber - I'm ALL about cousins having each others' backs Drew - Adorbs. I want to pinch his cheeks. I kinda wish Zeek hadn't bought all the stuff but I get why Sarah wants to spoil them a little. I remembered Sarah's line that made me lol! When Adam was telling her about Alex and she cracked "Can I get his number?" I know we've had the Amber/Haddie talk about drinking but I'd LOVE to see Sarah sit down with her woman to woman about being in a relationship with an alcoholic. You'll be glad to know that I'm done! Laterz! ETA - I meant to say, Lauren's had a haircut It looks cute, t'was getting veeeeery long __________________

I'm with everyone on the Haddie/Alex story being annoying. But I get they are trying to show stories that are common to parents and teenagers. Haddie is acting like a pretty typical 16 year old, thinking everything is about her and every crisis is the end of the world. I get where her parents are coming from, but of course they may be approaching this situation the wrong way. But they are doing what so many parents do, and they will also learn from this situation in the end.
I had a hunch it was Zeke who bought the wrapping paper. Cute. Jasmine annoys me, so I don't pay much attention when she is on. If I was Kristina, I would have been annoyed that Camille called me Kris. I've never heard her use that nick name, she seems to always use Kristina. More Lauren next time please. __________________

I think this week had a good balance of stories and was fine with the amount of Lauren we got, including time wait Adam and I guess she had met the new boss given has she introduced him to Drew. __________________

Well, seems like I'm the black sheep and going out on a limb to say that I'm enjoying the Haddie storyline along with Jasmine. I love that tonight had a focus and didn't feel so jumbled. It transitioned smoothly between the scenes & the whole thing felt very natural and real. My fave moment had to be when Alex visited Adam @ his office and spoke openly & honestly. Good move on his part as well as putting the brakes on the relationship w/ Haddie. And perfect response from Adam. It actually had me tearing up a bit. As much as it was frustrating to watch Adam & Kristina deal w/ Haddie's obstinate and impulsive nature the entire thing felt so real. As parents you're going to F up & I shook my head at the hole they seemed to be digging but I think in this situation neither they nor Haddie are in the right and they have to both deal with this & communicate more openly. I think you're right Cee, that the "NO!" type of parenting needs some tweeking w/ Haddie but it's all growing pains & will work itself out eventually. And now onto Jasmine--I actually like her. I know she's unpopular but I like this relationship w/ Crosby. I actually did NOT like how Crosby handled things tonight & feel that Jasmine is right...he lucked out. Jasmine had a point & Crosby neglected to realize that & acknowledge it. (or maybe I missed that point?) It's great it all worked out in the end but pushing a kid too far CAN cause damage & I've been a bit of a victim to it myself. Granted they DO need to communicate & be on the same page w/ regards to parenting Jabbar and Jasmine needs to make a more concerted effort to understand Crosby's side of things but I guess all I'm saying is it's a 2 way street. Camille I loved in tonight's episode! I liked how she was there to listen to Haddie but admit she couldn't be caught up in the middle of it all & take sides. And of course Kristina's taking it a bit too far but she reminds me SO much of my own sis-n-law who always overreacts when my mother tries to help out. I do love how Kristina's heart is in the right place she's just all over the place in regards to disciplining her children. She's not assertive enough most times but when it helps to have a little soft diplomacy she applies too much pressure & hardness. Oy, it's so frustrating to watch! lol. I loved Sarah in tonight's episodes and am SO happy they chose to illuminate her relationship with Drew. Finally! She was very funny and had me rolling with a couple of her comments especially the moment Cee mentioned! I also loved that the writers didn't have her breaking down again tonight & we got to see some bonding in a lighter context with her son and with her father. Okay, I think I need to shut up now I'm rambling. Anyway, GREAT episode tonight! Looking forward to the one in 2 weeks time.
