BTW, the comments in that 5 Reasons You Should be Watching Parenthood thread are wacky. There is one (I think) troll who is just spouting nonsense and posting ratings info that makes no sense and calling everyone liars. But, the good news is that there are other people voicing their love for the show, and their hopes that it will return for Season 3.

It's clearly a show that invokes passions among the viewers (reminds me of GG) guess that's better than a show that people don't care about.

Also what the deal about no strong women? I've seen this a few times, haven't they been watching, what about Julia, the bread winner for that house hold, Joel stays home with the kid. And IMO Sarah took the strong choice to leave her alcoholic husband and the very strong choice to ask for help from her parents when all else failed. Okay Kristina is more-or-less a stay at home mom but it was her choice and she has the tough job of controlling a kid with Aspergers, Jasmine raised Jabbar by her self for 5 years and walked away from a cheating Crosby. I even consider Camille as strong, not taking any crap from Zeek, which is a full time job

And the hiatus thing and shows being cancelled, so does that mean all they shows currently having a break are gone come May?

So, here's some news that indirectly relates to Parenthood:

NBC has renewed The Office, Parks & Recreation and Community.

"And this relates to Parenthood how?" you say.

After the speculation that NBC was going to abandon its smart, niche programming in favor of a more CBS-like mass-appeal model, having especially P & R and Community renewed seems to indicate that might not be the case after all. And those two shows in particular are ratings-challenged, smart, unique shows that have won critical praise, just like Parenthood. So I think their renewals bodes well for a Parenthood renewal. (I just hope it's soon! )

Although I am getting seriously irritated having to sit around & wait for the news. Why were those shows renewed already? Why do we have to wait on the dramas? Grrr, argh!

These comedies just came back from their break so there´s hoping that PH will be renewed with the Harryś Law on March 28 or 29. That´s what I´m hoping for. If they won´t do it than I would be worried cos it would mean they are still waiting how the ratings for the final 4 episodes go (and since we´ll be facing a new show, I would be little corncern). So, NBC, please, renew PH before the new eppy is airing so I can enjoy the last 4 episodes without nerves. Also PH will be wraping filming very soon. Would be nice for the cast to know before that, too, Im sure. And if the cast goes to some talkshows to hype the last 4 episodes they should be able to tell if these are final final episode or not.lol


And yes, Hannah, NBC renewing comunity gives me more hope, too. It was averaging 1.8 the whole season.

I hope we get PH news soon, maybe next week we'll hear something or start seeing Lauren and others listed for talk shows to help boost the end of the season.

I've been feeling like that is what will happen also but didn't want to say anything and jinx it. I would be shocked if NBC didn't give PH an early renewal and extremely shocked if it didn't get a renewal at all.

I cannot believe they are filming the final episode, Erika mentioned in a twitter post earilier. I am not sure I can post the tweet and I dont know how to do the thing where you click on the box to show the spolier but anways cannot believe there nearly at the end I am really hoping it gets picked up for another season.
