The group performances have always cracked me up, and now that they have to lip sync it's even more hilarious XD Props to her for doing it with a smile on her face though. It's worth all the cheese for the opportunity.

I really think they should just cut the group performances at this point. There's got to be a more exciting use of that airtime. Maybe just let Crystal sing again?

More of Crystal's original music is over on MJs Big Blog, FYI. One song, "Farmer's Daughter" is apparently about child abuse and literally gave me goosebumps. At this point I have no idea how she wasn't famous before Idol. This original music is AMAZING. I'm just hoping they don't ruin her by not letting her write her own songs.

I think you'll enjoy them when you get the chance to listen. I was pretty impressed, since it seems like a lot of pre-Idol originals are... eh... crappy.

You are obviously not including David Cook since his pre-idol album is one of my fave albums ever. XD

But I will definitely try and find some time to check them out.

Haha, actually, Cook is probably one of the only other examples of good pre-recorded music. I think I actually liked some of his pre-Idol stuff better than the debut CD.

From what i've heard it's a bit overblown. Trying to get drama to make the show more interesting, I guess. I guess it'd be pretty upsetting to be away from your little kid.

I'm glad she didn't leave though. I'd keep watching just because but I'd enjoy it a lot less.

Yeah, I'm sure they made it sound more dramatic than it was I've heard the pressure on the show can be quite overwhelming tho~

I think she put some of that into her performance this week tho and it was so beautiful

That made me chuckle... I'm gonna vote my fingers off for Mamasox next week! I fell in love with her singing "Natural Woman" in Hollywood and have wanted to see her win ever since. It's gonna take everyone! Vote, Vote, Vote!

I'm curious to see what label she'll be signed with, and what direction she'll go with the album. I hope it stays true to who she is, but maybe a lil bit different - different meaning appealing to me
