I have posted the details in the Reboot thread. But they have cast the "Liz" character in the reboot. It's Janine Mason, who currently is on Grey's Anatomy as one of the new interns. The one with history with Dr. Deluca.

I don't know how they can find two people to have the chemistry that Shiri and Jason had in the original. They were magical. It still stands up today, and is magical!

Thank you for Shiri and Jason for giving us memories we still treasure today.

They are saying how they casted Liz her name is Jeanine Mason.

I remember Jeanine Mason on the short lived ABC show Bun Heads.

Sadly we are at the casting stage! :sad: That does not mean this casting is not set in stone. Sometimes with a pilot they might change a cast member that is why it is called an Unaired Pilot.

It is a pitch to the networks to see how the show might go or if the views will like it. They might show it to a test audiance first and make changes. The pilot might be longer or the cast might be recast. The pilot might also be rewritten.

It happend in the Buffy Pilot with the actress who played Willow and on Smallville with the actress with Clarks Mom.

If anything bash the CW network for wanting to make a NEW show and calling it a reboot. What a slap on the face to us true fans!

I agree the magic of Jason and Shiri can never be recreated. It was magical!

There will never be another Shiri and Jason for sure.

So it will be Liz Ortecho and not Liz Parker, I do not know how I feel about it.

Which is the name in the books. When the original show went to casting, and they found Shiri, they changed it to "Parker". But in this age of wanting to be true to surroundings, and wanting to bring in the immigation real world to it.

It's one way to make the two shows different. So I am curious the name of the show they will end up. As of now they have been saying it's the "Untitled" Roswell reboot.

I just don't know how they will all end up. Assuming it even makes it to the schedule.

It's just so different from the books. All they are taking is her name, and maybe the characters name of the others too and saying it's Roswell, New Mexico. But being very loosely based on the original book series.

I forget, wasn't Max described differently in the books? So I am curious the casting for the "Max" character...

No one can come close to Jason and Shiri. They made you root for them to make it, despite all the horrible obstacles they went through...
