I wonder what Melinda Metz thinks about the reboot. She is no JK Rowling so I doubt she can show if she is unhappy about it or say anything about it. It's a business after all, bad move to badmouth a show based very loosely on your books.

I loved the original Roswell High series, but I always found all the books that were tie-ins to the show to be . . . kind of lackluster? Maybe just because I was so immersed in fan fiction, and I find a lot of fan fiction to be way better. (And smuttier. )

Brendan and Majandra were magic together and it was nice to have Micael and Maria balance Max and Liz. Such a great duo

It really was. I love that both of the relationships showed different sides to a relationship.

They were written this way on purpose. Max and Liz had the romantic love story and to counterbalance them, Michael and Maria had the passionate/funny love story. I seem to remember Jonathan Frakes saying that. In my opinion, it was a good move, less tragedy this way, Roswell needed some "comic relief" otherwise it was too heavy and M&M provided that.

Not saying there wasn't tragedy for M&M but it wasn't on the same level as Max and Liz. Once again, it was on purpose. Two tragedic couples would have made Roswell wayyyyyy too serious and depressing.
