Those are really good Sosa

Dawn was really neglected in S7 and he relationship with Spike was non-existent.

But she did have some great scenes in Potential. I think it made sense that her biggest connection was with Xander.

Yeah, after Beneath You, they really didn't have anything to do with each other (after she told him she'd light him on fire if he ever tries to hurt Buffy again). It was a shame that they never reconnected, but I understand her view point though, I wouldn't have easily forgiven him either if it had been my sister.

I can understand why she couldn't build a relationship with him either. Sosa's fic touches on another major problem Dawn must have had. Spike was all about Buffy and she probably started to doubt all of the time they spent together, thinking that he did it to get to Buffy.

tht's a reason to love their scene in Forever when Spike helped Dawn to get the ressurrection spell, and made it clear that he knew Buffy would wanna stake him for it, but wanted to do it anyway, for Dawn, and Joyce

I think the rift between the two started in S6. After Buffy came back, Spike thought about no one but her, and Dawn was much closer with Tara.

Maybe Tara was the only person she could trust? Willow was off being addicted to magic. Buffy was off being addicted to Spike sex. Spike was off being addicted to Buffy. Xander and Anya had their upcoming marriage to worry about. Tara was probably the only person that had time for Dawn.

that was the theme of OaFA, that Dawn was all alone, with noone having time for her.

Spawn in that ep really irkes me!! The scene where everyone is in her room,, and Dawn screams at them, why the heck is Spike just standing there, saying and doing nothing while the others try to handle it. Being such an action centered chatterbox normally, that feels really unlike him. Where they written that way just to avoid Spawn-interaction?

Yeah, I also hated that Spike said nothing in Older and Far Away. Reminded me of Help when Buffy went to talk to the drunken father with Xander with her. Xander said nothing, when he was the one who could relate to the situation having an alcoholic father as well.

The writers, sadly, waste so many opportunities with the characters, it's so disappointed. I'd have loved a subplot of Dawn and Spike patching things up.

I like their fraternal relationship. It was beautiful to see. A little disappointed with the turn it took in the seventh season against.

Did they have a scene together in Chosen?

They didn't. The only scene they had in S7 was the one where Dawn threatened to kill him.
