Well to me it's a tie between Spike and Buffy for most complex and amazing though. I think like for male it's Spike and female Buffy. I honestly don't like the trailer for this but it's for James. “This new fantasy film is like The Lord of the Rings meets The Princess Bride. Starring James Marsters of “Buffy”, “Angel” and more.” 11 days left to back this project, get on it and tell everyone you know! Dragon Warriors __________________

Half way through s2. Although Spike is the total villain right now I really love him, which is kind of odd for me.
Although one thing I've always thought and don't hate me, but I've always thought his hair was kind of weird. It bugs me. __________________

It almost looks fake at first to me. Like it's pasted on or something.
It seems so far Spike has some of the best lines. __________________

Thanks for the gifs, Jaime!
I love those gifs from Angel! I never cared for the television show Angel, not until Spike moved over to it. He was so funny! BTW, I found several pictures of Spike in puppet form, and they look like they were taken during the 'Smile Time' episode when Angel was turned into a puppet. Which is very confusing, because Spike never appeared as a puppet in that episode. Do you have any skinny on this? Did the original script have both Angel and Spike as puppets, and then Spike was cut out? Dang! Even as a puppet Spike is gorgeous! |

Those are awesome!
I've seen episodes of Angel here and there. I've heard it's a lot different from Buffy and a lot didn't like it. I'm going to give it a try too. At least watch the first season. __________________

I've saw those and just assumed they were toys.
I wanna cuddle with them. Angel is darker than Buffy that's for sure. __________________

Spike as a puppet along with Angel would have been even more hysterical.
I personally also love Angel as a show, though it's much darker right from the off. Everyone who watches BtVS should watch it too, though I'll keep my opinion on the final two seasons to myself. |

Does Angel the show end when/where Buffy ends?

The Buffy finale really sets up what happens on Angel with Spike joining.
Angel went on one more season and it did have some higher ratings. The WB president at the time said the show was too expensive. Later they said ending Angel was a huge mistake. There was even barely any time for Joss to plan an ending. I really think the last scene though was good and fit things. I do have issues with the last 2 seasons mostly Season 4. The ratings Season 4 were really bad not surprising. James joining the show was what saved it that season. It was the WB's stipulation to renew the show at all. I've always wondered how that made David feel. This is a great interview for Spike fans. enisy: "The Write Environment" Joss Whedon Interview Here is the proof of that fact from Joss himself. Jeff: So it was an easy decision to bring him from Buffy over to Angel. Joss: Um, the WB said they would not renew Angel unless we brought him over, so yeah it was a very easy decision. Jeff: Really? Oh. Joss: Um, and it was also an easy decision creatively, yes. We were, it was, and the best decision because we had a great ensemble on Angel um, but Spike and Angel's history meant that he and David played off each other in a way that nobody could, male or female and, ya know, David did some of his best work because he was in the room with James and Spike and Angel just... you think it's a banjo act and a banjo act but it's really not, they're so different. Jeff: Instant conflict and yet great comedic moments. Joss: Yeah. The two of them were so funny together. __________________

Actually I can't comment much on S5 of Angel, since I've never watched it. But S4 was a total mess, not even a hot mess, just a mess. I own all the other seasons on DVD (I bought S5 just for one certain episode) besides S4, that's how much I loathe it. And I'm OCD and hate gaps in my collections, but I wasn't wasting money on S4. S4 of Angel and S8 of House MD hold the dubious honour of being the two seasons of TV I hated so much that I was willing to overlook my obsessiveness and leave my DVD collections uncompleted.

I have ATS Season 4 DVD because my brother wanted the whole collection.
He hated Season 4 though too. I will never watch that season again. I wish I hadn't watched it when it aired. We find out that Drusilla actually sired Spike in a part flashback episode that shows his backstory from right before and after he was turned. It's one of the best episodes in general. Joss came up with such a genius past for Spike that it fits with everything we know about the character already. You wouldn't know it wasn't planned from the start. It also easily fits how Spike had been falling for Buffy all along and didn't realize it. The episode is also a important episode for Spuffy. It was Angelus that trained him and was more like a sire in that way. Fans have pointed out that Spike said Angel was sire in School Hard. Joss says he is his grandsire and Dru couldn't perform the real sire duties. You get to see it all in flashbacks eventually on both shows. There are some that see it as a retcon. I can see both views since it was Angelus that taught Spike to be evil. __________________

Poor Spike. I felt so bad for him in that episode. I was so glad he did that though for Buffy. It finally proved to her that he really did love her without a soul. __________________

Seems like they wanted to change a bit, or forgot it was mention and twisted so it makes sense. __________________
