I like the title but I would change "strange" with "shady"
Buffy wanting an Introduction to Pies college course makes my inner Buffy/Dean shipper heart swell. That would make a great BtVS/SPN crossover fic. __________________

 Beautiful in terms of their growing friendship, but so heartbreaking too  From not knowing what to get Tara for her birthday and feeling awkward around her, to Tara being the only one she felt safe enough with to open up to, it makes my heart swell. Also, huge kudos to Sarah for this scene, the desperation and agony in her voice hurts my soul. |

And little things after that, like it being important to Buffy that Tara came to her party, were lovely signs of this deeper bond. Buffy fought for Tara in Family and protected her, Tara returned the favour by being Buffy's support when she needed it and keeping her confidences.
The way the show does things like this is one of the reasons I'll always love it so much. |

Definitely, it doesn't just let things like that become unmentioned or forgotten about. It hearkens back to them with the character's latter actions

I feel like if Amber had committed to the show fully, as in signing on as a full cast member, we would have gotten that. Not that I blame her at all, but I feel like that that was a contributing factor__________________

Possibly, and it's a shame, because their dynamic evolved in such a lovely way. It was great to see both Summers sisters develop a close bond with Tara, a surrogate mother to Dawn and a trusted confidante for Buffy.
