I think the reason why I've yet to start Season 6 in my rewatch is because despite the fact that it's my favourite season, knowing that it's Tara's last just makes me sad and not want it to happen.

Same. I love the season, but I don't think I'll be able to watch it again anytime soon

Alright I caved and started season 6. I love how confident and independent Tara's character is in this season.

Same here, she came a long way from the character we saw in Season 4. It's the ending of Season 6 I can't really handle. I still hold to the fact that Dark Willow could have been brought out if Tara had been shot, but only wounded

I agree, I wish Tara didn't have to die for Dark Willow to happen. But do you think Willow would have gone to that extent if Tara were just injured?

I've been doing thinking on that theory more, and this is what I came up with. (Warning, it might sound a little fanfiction-y)

Basically, the bullet hits Tara, and knocks her unconscious. Willow, obviously in a panic, doesn't feel her heartbeat, and as such, thinks that Tara is dead. She goes to the Magick Box, absorbs the Black Magicks, and there you go.

I could see that happening. And then Dark Willow seeing that Tara is really alive brings her back to herself...

Although I do love the Xander/Willow scene that brings her back. As much as I love Tara, I understand why Joss killed her off, and for the sake of the plot, I've accepted it. It still breaks my heart though.

Oh my god, you just said how I did the Dark Willow scene at the end of Grave differently for my fanfic I had Tara come out of this coma she was in after the bullet hit her and then Willow did the whole "Stop" scene on both her and Xander

I could post my version of it on here if you'd like to see it
