Although Tara is my favourite on the show and I love her dearly, I understand the reason behind her death. I still miss her so much though.

The bullet could have still hit Tara, but the wound wouldn't have been fatal. Still would have had the same effect, with Willow going Dark.

Today I watched "The Body" on my rewatch (breaks my heart every time ). Anyway, I love Tara in this episode, because she's the only one out of everyone who truly understands everything everyone is feeling. I went all analytical when it came to the scene in her and Willow's dorm room. Xander is trying to find someone to blame about Joyce's death, and he begins to blame the doctors. Then, we get this long shot of Tara. I made a graphic out of it.



I think that Tara is thinking back on when her own mother died. As we don't know much about it, I guessed that Tara most likely reacted in the same way Xander did. Not sure how to react, a little angry maybe, thinking of people to blame for it. She was probably very close with her mother since she was a witch as well, and the rest of her family seemed to have been against that. As she said to Buffy "No [it wasn't sudden], and yes. It's always sudden."

When Xander hurts his hand and Tara says to him, "It hurts." - It's as if she's indicating she knows what Xander is feeling and what's going through his mind.

That entire episode It's such a realistic episode that you can't help but feel affected by it

I know right! The episode is extremely realistic and well-done. If you've never experienced someone close to you dying, I'm sure you can understand what it's like just by watching that episode.

And I love how every character is reacting to Joyce's death in different ways. Dawn is in denial, Xander is looking for someone to blame, Willow is stressed over being there for Buffy and trying to stay calm, Anya isn't sure how to react and what to say... But with Tara, she's been through this before. She understands all the feelings everyone is going through, and she's really the only one who knows what to say to Buffy. I love Tara's friendship with Buffy. Both of them being my favourite characters, I wish they had even more time together on the show.

So realistic I connect with it because I lost a family member I was very close to a few years ago, and I remember how much it hurt.

Yes the Tara and Buffy scenes were always lovely to watch

And I love their small moment together in The Body Tara was there trying to tell Buffy that whatever she is feeling, that is ok

I love that about Tara, she never judged anyone, especially Buffy. Even during Season 6 with the whole Spike thing, instead of judging her like the rest of her friends may have done, Tara gave her comfort and said that it was okay. Tara is just a flawless human being.

I want to read her books, I'm just trying to get the money together to buy them. There are so many Buffy books that I want to get right now that it's hard to choose between any of them and Amber's books

Yep, she has a series that she writes for, and then I think she published one with Christopher Golden.

She also wrote a few of the Buffy comics back in the day.
