I don't know. They don't really seem to do musicals. And that one... well... it's mostly for kids
Anyone who was lucky enough to see the original probably won't even try that one. At least they did good with Elena, although imo she has the pipes but not the acting chops to do the part justice. it's a hard one. But Martin and Cerveris? yeah whatever
It might still be running next year depending on the critics and the Tonys of course. It might be a new cast though by that time.

Are you interested in pictures from the opening night? I'm sure I can dig up some

adding it to my list.

I don't understand. We do make some weird, masochist choices, don't we? If you only consider aSoIaF and X-Files... those can scarred a person for life, pretty badly

Interesting question here. Have you ever cared too much about books characters? Like tears and all... regretting to have even read the book really?

Interesting indeed. Weird, in general I don't care as much for book characters as I do for tv characters and sometimes even movie characters. I think the only books that made me cry a lot were aSoIaF, LOTR and, don't judge, big part of my childhood, Harry Potter. And those were big books, more than one, so I spent a lot of time with them. Sometimes I shed a few tears and all but they are gone quickly after. But regret... I think only aSoIaF, especially after the RW.

Me? I don't cry much over books but there are a few that get me every time. Les Miserables is one. I just cannot read it and keep a dry eye, especially when Gavroche dies. But yeah again, big book and I guess the way Hugo wrote is a part of it too.

Another one is A Prayer for Owen Meany. It's a big book but nowhere near LOTR or HP size. It's very human though so I got to relate to the characters even though they were very different from me.

I cry for very personal reasons when I read Judas Child by Carol O'Connell. But it's a twin thing. Although I'm sure people who are not twins would be moved but it makes it worse for me.

The only one I regret ever reading though (and I actually never finished the book because of that moment) is Fool's Fate, by Robin Hobb. It's the last book of a 6 books series and I'm dying to know how it ends but I just can't get past the death of one of the characters. It was my favorite character in the series and he was also a key character in another trilogy that takes place in the same universe. He's a prophet, I knew all this time it was going to end like this but I just can't get past it. I know it's weird but I wish I hadn't even started the book and got to that point.

I read your comments over crying over books I cried my eyes out over parts of the last book in His Dark Materials Thrilogy by Philp Pullman... and I still cry then I read that one...

I have to admit that I have also cried over parts of Harry Potter and the smell of vanila... actually I have cried over more than those just can't rememebr others right now... however the end of his dark matrials was still the one I cried most over... I was not myself for almost a week after wards...

I've never read any of these because for years I was too busy reading Meg Cabot (why, god, why? At least I was reading something) but now I'm curious. Les Miserables is on my list

That's the thing with that series, you shouldn't get too attached because you know almost everyone can bite the dust at any time... but then you still do Thanks GRRM!

(because reading is like biking, you need training wheels first and then when you move on to better things, you can look back and look down at yourself for needing them )

I loved it as well and yes it was very well written but a lot of his stuff are... I don't know about the movie... it was not the best to be honest... oh did you know that there was a play version of the it?

what book are you talking about here? anything you would recomend?
